Installing UWS Replacement Lock Cylinder on Toolbox

Question:

I purchased a UWS replacement lock for my toolbox from you. Can you give me some instructions on how to replace the barrel lock? It has a nut on the inside of the box, but I cant get the nut to turn.

As you mentioned, the existing lock barrel is held in place by the retaining nut on the inside of the box. Try giving the nut a good shot of a spray penetrant and letting it soak for awhile. Apply a wrench to the nut, and use a crescent wrench to hold the flats on the lock barrel (be careful not to damage the threads on the barrel.) This should allow you to apply enough torque to the nut to get it to loosen.
