Hello neighbors. I'm Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at this replacement lock cylinder and key set for your UWS toolboxes with a square paddle handle only. That's right, folks, so this only works with the UWS square paddle handle only tool boxes. It does not work with drawer slides, dog boxes, T handles, or push button locks. Now this uses key CH505.

You're gonna get one lock cylinder, two keys. You can see the engraving there above my sticker 505, and the same with the spare key 505 and the same on the lock core 505. So again, very nice, simple operation. The nut here is what would apply tension and hold it in place inside the backside of the handle. And obviously the lock part here, when you twist the key, will lock and unlock the apparatus.

Very simple design, very simple replacement part today. That's gonna wrap it up for our look at this replacement lock cylinder with keys again for the UWS toolbox with the square paddle handles only. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.

Product was a direct fit for my UWS Toolbox. I was uncertain about fitment at first since I bought my toolbox without a lock since it was discounted but this product exceeded my expectations. The number doesn’t matter unless you already have a lock. Shipping was fast and customer service was excellent.

The lock arrived without a nut, and the old nut was different thread, it took a little work to get it installed!

CH505 LOCKS - Good product. The only problem, the locks numbered as CH 505 here in the US are keyed different than those made in Canada. So, I now have to carry 2 keys. I would replace all the locks with these, but there are 3 different types of the CH 505. on my 2010 Westward GO-4 Interceptor III.

This is a very good, and decently priced item. High quality cylinder lock with keys. This was installed in a very old beat up toolbox that a friend gave me, and fit perfectly. I did have to WD-40 the keyhole just because I was having a small amount of difficulty inserting the key but obviously since it's brand new it just needed a little grease, now has perfect operation. Only tool required was an adjustable wrench, which also needed a little WD-40 since it came free with the dinosaur of a toolbox. Very pleased with purchase and have since recommended etrailer to friends for low priced stuff. Thanks again!

Thank you etrailer you are cheaper than anybody else on the web your products are fantastic shipping was amazing 150% satisfied I will call you first and always whenever I need parts I would highly recommend to anybody needing anything to check with you first oh yeah and the customer service was fantastic I knew every step of the way they got my order it was shipped sent package out the door everything very thorough very professional oh yeah one last thing I did mention that I spent probably 2 hours one day at a large national chain do-it-yourself store in 2 hours and other day at the other one and found nothing that I needed or even close to what I got my time is valuable and the time I wasted at those stores when all I had to do was go online and I don't have any kind of protection on my phone so I called your customer service Representatives up and within 10 minutes I was done couple days later parts were there I really felt stupid at the time I wasted but now I know help others will learn from my experience go to etrailer First#

Put them on today was a little worried about the length of the cylinder being shorter then the ones I took off the tool box , but they work very well . I'm also glad they are keyed alike since I bought two for the toolbox on my truck.

The Redline Replacement Key # CHK545 should be the correct key for the lock cylinder that is on your existing T-handle. This key is designed for T-handle locking door latches like what you have and the number matches up to the CH545 number you found on the cylinder. You will not have to replace the cylinder itself to use the key.

Installing UWS Replacement Lock Cylinder on Toolbox
As you mentioned, the existing lock barrel is held in place by the retaining nut on the inside of the box. Try giving the nut a good shot of a spray penetrant and letting it soak for awhile. Apply a wrench to the nut, and use a crescent wrench to hold the flats on the lock barrel (be careful not to damage the threads on the barrel.) This should allow you to apply enough torque to the nut to get it to loosen.
