Which Upright Goes In Front of Other for the TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TA21508-02

Question:
1. Does it matter which rack is placed behind the cab of my F-150 super crew truck with a 5.6 bed? I plan to carry two kayaks which are over 11 and 13 feet and the back rack is where the widest part of the kayaks will be and the most weight. Im thinking by having the widest rail in the back, I have more room with out going past the support bars as far like I would have to do with the shortest rail in the rear. Also that the shortest rain would work better on the inside behind the cab because the front of the kayaks are not as wide as the rear. 2. Does the track Rack rails have a left and right? If so where are they labeled?

I checked the installation instructions for the TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TH43002XT-508 that you referenced and the rear upright will be the one that slides on the outside track and the front upright will be the one that installs on the inside track. This happens to be how you wanted to install the uprights so it should work out very well for you.
The instructions also indicate that the legs of each of the uprights are designed to specifically be used on either the front or back like previously mentioned and on the left or right. Basically there is only one configuration that you can install the uprights of the # TA21508-02.
The base rails of the rack can be used on either the left or right hand side though.
