Can Thule TracRac SR Uprights Be Installed on Same Tracks for 2016 Ram 1500 Short Bed

Question:

2016 Ram 1500 Do the upright assemblies have to be installed in different T-tracks as shown? I have seen various videos installing the upright assemblies in the outside rails only so that the inside rails were available for additional storage.

Expert Reply:

Normally Thule recommends installing the legs for the TracRac SR TH43003XT-784 on different tracks so you can move the crossbars closer together but you can install all of the legs on the outer tracks so you can use other pieces for the inner slots, like the Tie-Downs # TH25100, and carry more with the 5-1/2' of your 2016 Ram 1500.
