Video Transcript for Review of LubriMatic Grease and Lubricants - Multi-Purpose Lithium Grease - L11316

Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at ETrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the LubriMatic Multi-Purpose Lithium Grease. This is going to be a very versatile grease to have around the shop, around your home, or the farm. It's going to be great for any kind of chassis lubrication, so universal joints and other general purpose applications. It's going to give us a heavy duty high performing grease, so we'll be able to lube everything up and keep it working properly. This is going to work out well for any kind of rolling parts, so again, things like a ball joint or a drive shaft, lithium grease will work out well for. This is going to be a petroleum based product, and it does have that lithium in there to help give it its emollience.

It's about the same consistency as peanut butter, so it should keep that high viscosity even at high temperatures, and that'll prevent it from thinning out and melting down, and dripping off your application or dripping off where you place it. This is going to be a 16 ounce can, so it should give you enough to do a pretty good job of keeping everything lubed up. About a pound of grease. It has a little pop top so whenever you're ready to use it, you'll just pull that back, dispose of it, and then you'll have the plastic lid to keep everything fresh inside there. That's going to do it for our look at the LubriMatic Multi-Purpose Lithium Grease..

  • Recommended Grease for Stainless Steel Door Hinges
To grease stainless steel door hinges I recommend a multi-purpose lithium grease like a 16-ounce tub, part # L11316 of Multi-Purpose Lithium Grease. Bio-based lithium grease performs better than petroleum-based lubricants thanks to it's higher viscosity (thickness). Thanks to it's formulation (it's made from US-grown crops) you don't have to worry about little ones touching it - it is non-toxic and safe to use all around the trailer and home.

  • Recommended Trailer Maintenance Schedule Including Re-Packing of Wheel Bearings
The rule of thumb for servicing trailer wheel bearings is to clean them out, inspect and re-pack them every 12 months or 12,000-miles, whichever comes first. This and other routine trailer maintenance guidelines are covered in the linked article. This is a good reference guide for helping you keep your trailer in the safest and most road-worthy condition. I also linked articles on re-packing bearings and on grease formulas. These are good to review also since some grease formulations are...

  • Is the 16 Ounce Wheel Bearing Grease Tub Enough for a 5th Wheel Trailer
Yes, the LubriMatic Multi-Purpose Lithium Grease # L11316 would be sufficient to fill all of the bearings on your Keystone RV Montana Fifth Wheel. There would even be plenty left over for maintenance. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

  • Does the Area Where the Jaws on a Fifth Wheel Hitch Wrap Around the King Pin Need to be Lubricated?

  • Should There be Grease on the Jack Nut Plate When Rebuilding my Jack
Cool I did the videos on most of those replacements. I do not know why you had trouble with your nut. Generally there is grease there that prevents that from locking up on you. When reassembling it grease it up really well there is no harm that can come from giving it a good dose and it should last a very long time for you. A good all purpose grease like the LubriMatic Multi-Purpose Lithium Grease part # L11316 is a good choice.

  • Recommended Grease for a Yard Cart
Ball grease # 58117 could potentially work for wheel grease on your yard cart. But an actual bearing grease such as # L11402 would be the better option since it was designed for this type of application. Even an all purpose grease such as # L11316 would work. When adding new grease to the cart be sure that you use compatible grease with what was on it or completely remove all of the old grease prior to adding the new grease. I have included a link to a help article on grease for you.

While we do not sell Dexter-brand wheel bearing grease, we do sell an amazing brand of grease that works for wheel bearings. That is the LubriMatic LMX Industrial Strength Grease - 14 oz. Cartridge # L11390 for heavy duty applications and the LubriMatic Multi-Purpose Lithium Grease - 16 oz. Can # L11316 for standard, general purpose bearings. I went ahead and linked a helpful lube article for you to check out.

  • Should Nylon Bushings in Tandem-Axle Trailer Equalizer Kit AP233 Be Greased
When installing Tandem-Axle Trailer Equalizer Kit # AP233 or a similar kit you will probably find it easier to insert the shackle bolts into the bushings if you lightly grease the bolts. A small amount of lubrication will both aid installation and provide a degree of lubrication for the whole assembly. You can use a general-purpose lithium grease like # L11316.

You can remove the cap at the top of the jack and put the grease in the cap. • Possible Causes for a Yoke Style Hitch Coupler to Bind
As a first step I suggest you try using a lithium grease to lubricate the moving parts; you could try a grease such as part # L11316, LubriMatic, Multipurpose Lithium Grease - 16-oz Tub. Since the trailer in question has been used by a previous owner there is always the chance that there could be hidden wear on the internal components. Even in normal use these parts can wear and eventually need to be replaced. If an under-sized hitch ball was used (such as a 1-7/8 inch ball in a 2-inch...
