A PC-rated light produces a 90-dgree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 180 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be clearly seen when you are standing directly in front of the light as well as when you are standing on either side of the light. When properly installed, this type of light can function as both a front clearance light and a side marker light or as a rear clearance light and side maker light.
Recessed-mount trailer lights install with a grommet, which is often sold separately. These lights extend past the trailer surface and require a hole for installation. If replacing a light, you can utilize the pre-existing hole. If installing a new light, you will need to cut a hole or use a mounting bracket (sold separately) to complete the installation.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Piranha Round LED Trailer Clearance or Side Marker Light with the rubber grommet and the red lens. Now, this is a small 3/4 inch diameter round LED trailer light that'll function as both either a clearance or a side marker light when it's properly mounted. It is a Piranha series, which combines the modern design with nice vibrant lighting for a unique look. Now, I am gonna hook this up to some 12 volt power just to show you how bright the light is. So we'll go ahead and hook up our ground, and then we'll go ahead and hook up our power, and I'll go ahead and turn on our 12 volt, and there you can see the light light up.
I'll go ahead and turn off the overhead lights, and you can see how bright this light is, it is a red lens, so it gives you off a red light. Just zoom out so you can see it from a distance. Zoom back in and turn back on our overhead lights, turn off our power. It is a PC rated light, so it will produce 180 degree beam pattern. It is in a durable plastic base with a nice acrylic lens, and as I mentioned, it's a red lens over a red LED.
And what's nice is the LEDs make great replacements for incandescent lights, they're rated for up to 100,000 hours of operation, and they're more efficient, 'cause they'll provide brighter light with less power output, and of course, no bulbs to replace or brittle filaments to break. This is compatible with 12 volt DC system. It is a recessed mount, you can see it does include the rubber grommet right here. You just push that grommet down just to show you. And there's your grommet right there, and again, once you install that, put your grommet into the hole, pop your light in there, and it's all ready to go.
Now, it is a recessed mount with the grommet, it does require 3/4 inch diameter hole to install it in. It is a two-wire pig tail. You can see it uses the plug-in bullet connectors for the power and the ground, wire length is about six inches. Now, this light is DOT, Department of Transportation compliant, it is a P2 rated light and it is made in the USA. Dimensions again, the diameter is 3/4 of an inch, the depth of the light is 13/16 of an inch, and the power draw at 12 volts is 0.07 amps.

Light was exactly what I needed and install was not difficult at all. Order wells on time and came properly packaged. Customer Service from etrailer was outstanding as usual.
Not sure its anyones fault but the LED marker lights on my trailer fasten to the wall with screws and today that style is not made as it was in 2017...So i am rating the lights "average" cause till i open the light up without busting it I got to make it work and your lights are just the same as the rest...lights look fine and i will let you know how it works out...
Easy to install and fit holes from previous installation.
These are far better than the bland factory lights and are sealed very well.
The lights worked great for our Timpte hopper trailer.
Order 2 of theses paid extra for shipping , and they don't match each other dame part number , tried to return them wad going to cost me more thank just keeping the wrong parts does not match pictures on website

These lights were the perfect brightness, very rugged, and easy to install inside protected areas of the frame on the updated raft trailer. etrailer has great selection, the website makes it easy to find the best parts for the job, and their communication is excellent. Exact replacement for my trailer. The factory incandescent bulbs had faded and connections were failing. With a quick inspection with a multi meter I found that all the lamp bases checked out.
I installed this Amber and Red marker lamps through out the whole trailer. I now “glow” going down the road at night. I highly recommend these replacement lamps.
The 168R side marker light paired with the B168-18 mounting gasket were easy to mount and work perfectly.

Replaced poorly designed lights on a travel trailer with these. The original lamps were not weather proof and used tensioned contacts that were prone to oxidation and corrosion from the elements. These LED lamps are sealed in epoxy so the elements will not affect them. Each lamp has two LEDs and a 6" wiring pigtail.
Perfect for the job. Easy install, bright light, everything you need.

I was looking for a certain size to fit the existing cutouts on my trailer and I was able to find the one I needed because you guys listed the size. Great idea.
Purchased these side marker lights specifically because they have two wires rather than just a positive wire and the ground attached to the mounting grommet.
Lights were easy to mount and with rubber gasket they are protected from vibration.
Ordered 4 of your 2 1/2 inch round LED marker lights. Price was good, shipping time was good, but you placed large stickers over two of the lenses. It took a lot of effort and time to remove the goo off the lights from these stickers.
Replaced poorly designed original non weathersealed lamps on my travel trailer with these LED lamps. They have 2 LEDs and a 6" pigtail for your wiring pleasure.
