Replaces the control unit on your Kwikee powered RV entry steps. Unit wires steps to RV and works with motor (sold separately) to automatically extend and retract steps when the RV door is opened and shut. Fits 40 series steps.

The ignition override feature is a safety feature that will retract your steps if the RV's ignition is sensed. This way, if you forget to stow your steps, they will retract automatically to prevent damage while traveling.

Exact replacement part and I had it in two days. Reasonable price.
Good price, quick to ship, easy fit and seems to be working flawlessly. The old controller was intermittent and the issue may have just been the ground connection to chassis but if the problem is gone fit good, I don’t care.
The only delay in receiving it was caused by the Post Office and that was just a couple of days. I’d pay a little for freight to avoid USPS.

Back up and running
I used this to replace the failed unit on my 2018 Berkshire 38A RV. It was a direct replacement and has been working fine for a year now.
This item worked great and eiser to ins tall.
The part was a direct replacement. All wiring connections except 1 were plug and play. My rv had 1 connection hardwired, simply cut the plug off and made the connection. I replaced both the motor and controller at the same time. All of the troubleshooting pointed to both. It took me longer to gather all of the tools than to make the repairs.

I want to say that this company employs very professional and knowledgeable people. The product that we ordered arrived quickly, packed great and was so easy to install it was almost to easy. Just change each wire with the matching one on the old item. Actually the new one screwed right in to the old holes from the old product. He finished installing it and low and behold our motor home step was working perfectly! Thanks Noah for have the knowledge of exactly what I needed. Now we know where to turn for things we need. The product got my mom and dad’s step working again. Nice plug and play
Steps were possessed and while traveling down the road. Would extend and retract on their own. Unplugged the power to them to get home. The part ordered was identical to what was on the RV including the factory part#. I had replaced the magnetic switch before getting this but the steps extended when the ignition switch was turned on. The original controller had the purple wire going to the mag switch and the black wire went to the step light. Hooked it back up that way and steps retracted when ignition switch was turned on. This was on a 2019 Jayco Greyhawk.

Less than one week before due to leave on 2 month camping trip. Controller for Kwikee power steps on motorhome failed. Contacted Tammie at etrailer for help. As always, they came through with flying colors. Had the controller available and shipped to me with delivery 2 days after.

Etrailer tech support was able to advise me on correct step controller and delivered the controller promptly.
This controller replaced a shorted unit (would blow 25A fuse) on a 2000 class A RV. I had to splice the motor connector off the old unit as it was different (the wires were the same color). The logic on this unit is reversed regarding the on/off switch by the door, but works just fine.
I was really unsure if I was ordering the right part, but after talking on line with one of your reps, he assured me it would work. Shipping was free and I received it in a few days, got it installed on the RV, and it works great! The cost was about half what I would have paid, at other places. So I am thrilled with the cost and the customer service! I will be back in the near future!
I was very happy to find detailed information on the etrailer site regarding this step controller. I installed it yesterday, everything worked awesome! Great experience, which is the norm with etrailer.
Christina in customer service was outstanding. She helped me get the correct replacement parts. We had to hard wire the motor since two wires to the control unit and the motor were not the same type connector (male/female) to connect. But we are extremely satisfied.

Updated replacement part for the #1510000140 part from Kwikee. I ordered with 1 day shipping and received on time from etrailer. Part was quickly installed and working perfect.
I’m only giving this poor review because my Kwikee steps were just one year old when the original controller failed suddenly.
