I BOUGHT A 2012 CHEVY TRAVERSE THAT HAD A TRAILER HITCH, BUT CURIOUSLY NO WIRING HARNESS FOR A TRAILER. SO I PURCHASED THIS ITEM. GLAD I DID. IT WAS A SIMPLE SELF-INSTALL, AND IT WORKS GREAT. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS WIRING HARNESS TO ANYONE CONSIDERING IT. THANK YOU, ETRAILER.COM!

by:

All wires fit together perfectly. Wire connector placed on hitch much better than a pile of wire in the trunk. Again I must say Red man’s Trailer Sales did a fantastic job.

by:

Awesome. Easy install thanks to the vi deos

Very fast instant shipping William helped me out and knew exactly what I needed. Got everything taken care. I ordered on a Thursday and it came from four states away and was here Saturday morning. I love this place. No need to buy from any other.

The entire wiring took me fifteen minutes. I went to my son in laws house, picked up his trailer that I am borrowing, and everything worked just well. I put the trailer hitch on a few days ago, and all though it took me longer to do than I anticipated (two hours instead of one) I was very pleased with your instructions. It took me longer than I anticipated because I had a very small clearance to get my socket and ratchet past the muffler....on both sides. And I dropped the muffler at the back end, but it only gave me an additional inch to work with. I made the mistake of tightening five of the bolts, and when I went to insert the sixth bolt it did not line up to the hole by a smidge amount. I then had to go back and loosen the other five half way out to give me movement, then get the sixth bolt started into the hole, and tighten all six of them. The slight clearance on the two above the muffler allowed me to use a wrench 1/8 turn at a time. But eventually I got the job done.

Thank you,
Dave Koenders

Purchased Curt Trailer Hitch and Wiring Harness for my 2011 Chevy Traverse. Good value and was able to install myself. Would definitely recommend.

by:
2010 Chevrolet Traverse

I had never installed a trailer wiring kit before, but it was a very easy install. It fit my 2010 Traverse perfectly. If I had a question it was addressed in the instructional video posted on the website. I looked at other wiring kits, but they were much more expensive, and you had to buy the 4 pole connector cover seperate (this one comes with one). All around very satisified.

I also bought the mounting bracket (18144), and the hole placement was an exact fit with my hidden hitch (no drilling required).

by:

Hitch is everything I could want. It was so easy to install took about 30 minutes like you stated on the web. Finish is extraordinary. fit perfect. The wiring harness was also easy to install and of excellent quality. I couldn't believe it got here so fast 2nd day from when ordered. I was able to fit my rear bumper door back on the car hiding the hitch completely from view. The video presentation was so helpful with the installation. Your CEO should be very proud of the well trained, organized and sincere staff representing e-trailer. I will certainly recommend your company to all I know.

Chevrolet Traverse

This was the easiest install ever. The hitch bolted directly to the hole pattern on my Chevy Traverse as advertised. The instructions on you tube were as easy to understand as the instructions they sent. The wiring harness is plug and play easy. Two hour install by myself. I recommend this product to everyone. The quality of this hitch is second to none. I am impressed!

by:

Super easy to install. I've never done wiring on a car before so I was a bit worried at first. But after watching the installation video provided from etrailer and going at it myself, it was a breeze and I laughed at how worried I was. To this day, I have never had an issue with it and it's been through a year of being used countless times.

Awesome trailer hitch & wiring! Everything was straightforward and easy to install. Great product that makes towing small trailers a breeze!

by:

This product was exactly as described and fit my vehicle perfectly. I had to remove the tail lights during the installation but after that hooking it up was a breeze. The product has functioned flawlessly for over a year now.

2011 Chevrolet Traverse

Purchased this wiring harness along with the Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch Receiver; they were both very easy to install, and work great!

by:

I never write reviews but this item as well as the hitch I purchased first were all as advertised, installed as specified and fit perfectly. I hate having to do hitches and wiring because of the usual problems you run into but these exactly as the Dr. ordered and went of without a hitch and much quicker than I thought they would. Thank you for you honesty and promptness both are appreciated more than you can know. My granddaughter thanks you also because grandpa didn't get irritated.

I'm just your run-of-the-mill exceptionally satisfied customer.

Full disclosure: I'm a cheapa$$. After I found what I wanted from etrailer, I surfed the part numbers looking for a cheaper source. After a few minutes, I asked myself "what the heck am I doing? etrailer.com has put up the money and time in a great website and fantastic how-to videos, and even if they're more expensive, they *deserve* my business - they earned it." So I bought.

Additional full disclosure: nobody was cheaper. Don't waste your time looking.

Oh, the hitch and wiring kit fit perfectly. What else would you expect?

by:

Works great. Not sure why this was described as excluding LTZ model, I bought it thinking it should be the same, after all they are just taillights. My suspicion was correct, and the harness works good.

This worked perfectly on our 2012 Chevy Traverse!! Easy to install thanks to eTrailers videos. However I choose to pull the wire from underneath the car rather then feed the entire assembly down the driver side as shown in the video. Worked great!!

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch And Wiring For A 2003 Chevy Tahoe
Hey Joe, For the trailer wire harness I recommend the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236. If you haven't picked out the trailer hitch yet then I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e26KR if you're just looking for a Class III trailer hitch. *Note: this does not fit models with canister on rear passenger side frame rail.* If you're wanting something a bit heavier duty we also offer a Class V Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15324. • Hitch, Ball Mount and Wiring Harness Options for 2012 Buick Enclave Without Factory Tow Package
For your 2012 Buick Enclave the Draw-Tite 2-inch Class III hitch # 75528 is a confirmed fit. Install instructions and a complete install video are linked for you. The hitch comes with all needed hardware. You will also need a ball mount, hitch ball and pin/clip. I suggest ball mount # 989892. In terms of the wiring harness options you ask a very good question. The available products, non-powered models # 118450 and # C56027 and the powered converter model # HM11141615, differ in one important...

  • Trailer Wiring Harness for 2012 Chevy Traverse Without Factory Wiring

  • Which Curt Trailer Wiring Connector # C56027 Goes to Left and Right Side of 2010 Chevy Traverse
For the trailer wiring harness part # C56027 the green wire goes to the passenger side rear taillight assembly and the connector with the yellow wire goes to the driver side. I also attached an install video for this for you to check out as well on a similar 2012 Chevy Traverse.

  • Left Tail Light on 2010 Chevy Traverse Stopped Working After Installing Trailer Wiring Harness
Trailer wiring harness # C56027 is a T-connector, a pass-through device that doesn't draw any power itself so the only way that it could be causing the tail light to not work is if a pin inside one of the connectors is bent or broken, dirt or corrosion is in one of the plugs, or the unit does not have a sufficient ground. You will want to unplug the connectors and check the vehicle side and trailer harness connectors to see if any pins are damaged or if anything is dirty. For the ground,...

This harness is custom fit and plugs into existing wiring which is located either behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights or behind the rear bumper.
