If you want your vehicle to keep its factory look when you’re not towing, this setup does the trick. The hidden design leaves no bulky crossbars or brackets in sight, and the removable arms come off easily to keep the front end clean and unobtrusive. Snap-in receiver covers help keep dirt and debris out of the sockets so everything stays smooth and corrosion-free when it’s time to tow again.

Connecting your tow bar shouldn’t be a chore. Each arm slides into the receiver, twists to lock, and secures in seconds—no tools or awkward alignment needed. The twist-lock system makes it simple to hook up on your own, even in tight spaces or uneven ground.
Already have a tow bar setup you like? You’re covered. This kit works directly with etrailer, Demco, Blue Ox, and Curt Rambler tow bars without an adapter. If you’re running a Roadmaster setup, just add the correct adapter (e98983, e98984, e98979, or e98981, sold separately). That flexibility means you can reuse what you already own without having to change your whole towing system.
This base plate bolts securely to existing attachment points for a solid connection that’s built for long-distance towing. The sturdy steel design spreads the load evenly across the frame for confident performance from trip to trip. With dimensions of 17-1/2" between brackets and 17" bracket height, you can plan your towing gear setup precisely around those specs.
You don’t need a shop full of tools to put this one on. The bolt-on design lines up with factory mounting points and comes with every piece of hardware needed for installation. Clear visual guides make the steps easy to follow so you can get it mounted over a weekend and be ready for the next trip.

Still working perfectly. Towed the jeep about 2000 miles from WA State down to Disneyland and then to Las Vegas and back. Plus dozens of camping trips.

Hi Shawn, the etrailer Invisible Base Plates part # e66GV are not a fit for the 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee, which is why the shutters had to be removed, and the instructions didn't cover it. These base plates fit the previous 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee model, but due to changes in the fascia and bumper they're not a fit for the 2026 model due to those modifications. However, the actual frame of the 2026 Grand Cherokee is still the same as the 2025 model, so the base plates are safe to tow with.
