This is the second hitch receiver that I have bought from etrailer and installed myself. It is very easy to do. The one bolt behind the exhaust hanger is a little tricky to access, but that is just the way Hyundai made it. Otherwise, very easy to locate the threaded holes and install. I was able to do this one all by myself but I would suggest getting some help to hold it up. There was no need to remove any plastic trim and the receiver is tucked in nicely. My Kuat NV 2.0 bike rack fits nicely but I needed an extension to get clearance for the inboard bike's handlebars.
I with help from my son installed the hitch on my 2023 Santa Fe PHEV. etrailer didn't show a PHEV Santa Fe but I knew it would fit. We dropped the spare tire first. Backed the Santa Fe on my ramps My son disconnected the exhaust. While he held the hitch in place I started the bottom bolt on the exhaust side. We finished the install of the hitch in half an hour.
Very easy to install hidden hitch. Instructions were easy to follow, and I had it put in in about 45 minutes without much fuss.
This was super simple to install especially if you watch the video. The exhaust is the only difficult part. The hangers will need lubed up and are just awkward not difficult but the bolts on that side will take the longest. Have a long extension that will help a lot. The spare tire hanger will still be useful BUT…… not like it was from factory. The hitch is directly over the drive stud so I had to use a ratcheting wrench to operate it. I would suggest getting a ratcheting wrench that fits this (7/16 inch I think) and leave it in the back with your jack. The shipping was faster than Amazon prime which I question why I pay for anymore but anyway they are super fast on shipping. The customer service is amazing and they will follow your package closer than you probably and are very responsive to questions. I didn’t really have any questions but I did respond to them about a review and was answered immediately. I would definitely recommend this company for any of your towing needs. Simple to install. Of course that depends on the vehicle.. fits properly below the bumper with no cutting. I put red thread lock on all the bolts.. just habit. Wd40 on the exhaust hangers makes it simple. Wire kit plugs in, trailer plug reached fine. It's only been installed for 18 hours so I haven't hooked up to it yet.. Can't imagine there would be a problem.
Came quickly and in good condition. Matched up to the factory frame holes, with the correct threads on the included bolts. 2025 Hyundi, Sante Fe Hybred. Included directions and suggestions. Still waiting for them to have a wiring harness available.

Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver is still working out. I got tired of waiting for a wiring harness so I ordered from a wiring harness from Hyundai.
The trailer hitch arrived as promised in perfect condition. Your installation video was perfect and with a helping hand, the installation went perfect on my 2025 Santa Fe Hybrid. Saved my self about $300.00
The hitch has an incredible shining finish and looks great on my vehicle. Thanks again for your outstanding service. trailer is my first stop when looking to make any purchases for my vehicles or trailers.
This was cheaper and looks more solid than factory. Will know when I put some work on it. For now it's holding my bike rack up well.
It's heavy and paint seems heavy duty. Instructions also were clear. Sits in the same location as factory but without the trim it looks like it's lower.

Fast delivery, easy install with right tools. Will be used for Kuat Sherpa Bike rack and hitch mount luggage carrier. My 8th hitch purchase from etrailer.com and by far the easiest install.
Order shipped quickly and was received in only a couple of days. I installed this hitch on my wife’s 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe, and it went very well. I watched the installation video on etrailer’s website before I purchased the hitch, and it gave me all the information I needed to easily install this hitch. Sure, it would be easier with two people muscling the hitch up under the vehicle, but it wasn’t that difficult by myself and two jackstands to get it aligned well enough to start the bolts. I invested in an exhaust hanger tool, which eliminated any frustration in trying to drop the muffler and exhaust pipe. Now, we can use our three-year-old vehicle for the family vacation, instead of our other 17-year-old SUV, and that will alleviate concerns of reliability of the older vehicle while on vacation. Overall, great quality and simple install. Just follow the instruction video and you won’t go wrong. If you plan on adding a wiring harness, this hitch does not include a mounting bracket for the connector. I JB welded one on the right to avoid the spare tire. Do not use the wiring harness recommended by etrailer, it is not compatible with the 2025 SF. Took a little over an hour to mount. Fits nicely and blends in well.
Hitch receiver fits my 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid very well. Installation would have been much faster with the help of a 2nd person to help lift & position the hitch receiver. However, I was able to get it done with the help of jack stands.
As a side note, I have a full-size spare and was worried that the hitch receiver would not fit. The spare still fits, though there is a slight rub of the tire on the hitch receiver.

Perfect fit on my vehicle. It looks stock. The installation video was a huge help for me; it made everything go smoothly. I don't have a lift, so the most time-consuming part was clearing room in my garage and getting the rear of the car up on jack stands so I could roll under it.
Keep in mind, this thing is heavy. Not the sort of thing you can hold with one arm while you screw in a bolt with the other. I had to use a jack to lift it into place while I got the first two bolts in. Unless you have gorilla strength, the 60 ft/lb. torque spec on the bolts is going to require a breaker bar or extra-long handle ratchet. Some of the bolt locations are inaccessible without extensions and one is a tight fit and required me to use a shallow socket, rather than my regular deep sockets. I'm very happy with the results.
Good quality. Strong hitch. Sale price was even better. Easy to install after watching the short video.

Working great after a year - use it to haul E-bikes for long distances and it is very stable with no issues.
The install was easy enough on our 2021 Kia Sorento…rolling around my garage floor. Installed the hitch and harness in right around 2 hours all by myself. My pup loves it too. No more sharing space in the back with the bags.

I love the heavy-duty steel tubing and bracket. I used u tube for the instructions which helped a lot. I definitely recommend 2 people for this job. It's solid!!

We have ordered nineties hitches from trailer and the customer service has always been outstanding. Install was a 3 of 10, with 10 being the hardest. Must have a muffler clamp tool! Hitch is going to haul a ton of bikes!
The hitch fit perfectly and I was able to install on my own. Great quality and fast delivery.
One issue unrelated to the quality of this hitch is that if you are planning to use this hitch with a Kuat NV2.0 bike rack, you may have to also purchase a hitch extension so your bike bars to not hit the rear glass. In addition, even with the Kuat NV2.0 tilted down, you will not be able to open the tailgate.
I searched my vehicle on your site. The hitch and harness showed on time. When ordering I inputted the vehicle and it gave me the kit as an option, harness and hitch. When it arrived the CURT custom wire connector says it excludes the KIA Hiybrid. I did not open the wiring package and would like the correct one ASAP.
