Today we're going to be taking a look at the Curt hitch lock.This secures your hitch mount accessories like your cargo carriers, your bike racks and your ballmounts to your hitch, so you don't have to worry about them walking away when you're not around.It is a 5/8" diameter pin, so it's going to work with your 2", 2 1/2" and 3" receiver tubes. It's 4" long, so some of those smaller receiver tube openings, like your 2" and 2 1/2", there is going to be a little bit extra pin visible. That's not going to cause any problems, just something to keep in mind.It is constructed of a solid metal, so it's going to take some pretty serious tools to remove this if you don't have the keys. So there again, it's going to be a great theft deterrent. It is coated with a durable chrome plate finish.And it's very easy to operate.
It's got this quarter turn lock activation. So we stick our key in, give it that quarter turn and it comes off. To get this mounted, you'll put in your bike rack or cargo carrier, line up the holes, and then push this through the opening, put on your lock end and turn the key.So you do get two keys for added convenience, in case you lose one or if you want to make sure that you always have a spare. We do have a watertight dust cap to prevent any water, dust or debris from getting into your lock mechanism and corroding it. It does come with a limited lifetime warranty from Curt.And that is going to wrap up our look at the Curt hitch lock..

Basic hitch lock. Does the trick. Has a shaft to fit on 1 1/4 or 2 inch hitches.

They're very good hitch pins plus they lock.
Of all the products I ordered from Curt Mfg., I was least satisfied with this hitch receiver lock. It fit the receiver hole and the ball mount hole well. And the manufacturing quality is very good. But...when I ordered it I was under the impression it would be sized to a 2 inch receiver. There is more than a 1/4 inch of side to side play in the pin with the locking head installed. Just another rattle spot. This product is also made in China, something I did not expect from Curt Mfg.

Fits the Curt C45900 channel ball mount with 1/4" to spare. Very happy with it.
