With the B&W Turnoverball underbed gooseneck trailer hitch you get the best of both worlds. When you go to tow, the Turnoverball creates a sturdy, dependable connection with your gooseneck trailer. And when you're done towing, you can stow the ball upside down in the hitch to get full bed access and a clean appearance.

Easy-to-Remove, Simple-to-Store Hitch Ball

The durable steel hitch ball included with the Turnoverball system secures in the hitch with a sturdy, 5/8" thick steel pin that is incorporated into the end of the operating handle. To lock the ball in place, drop it into the hitch hole in the bed of your truck. Then rotate the handle in your driver's-side wheel well counterclockwise until the latch engages. When the latch is engaged, the spring-loaded pin on the end of the handle will be inserted all the way through the base of the hitch ball, forming a strong, solid connection and ensuring absolute security when you're towing.

B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch Operation

When you're done towing, remove the hitch ball by simply pulling the handle out as far as it will go and then rotating it clockwise until it unlatches. Remove the ball, flip it upside down, and drop it back into the ball hole of the hitch. Then reengage the latch to secure the stowed ball in place.

Unlike typical gooseneck balls - which have round bases - the Turnoverball hitch ball is designed with a square base. This makes latching the ball in the hitch easier because the base won't rotate inside of the hitch like a round base might, so lining the pin up is a snap. The base of the ball also fits tightly within the ball hole during storage. Because only the corners of the base contact the sides of the socket, any dirt or grime that gets into the hitch will fall through the socket, thus helping to prevent any buildup that could cause the ball to seize up in the hitch.

B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch Accessories

B&W makes it easy to tow just about anything. With the many adapters and accessories available, the Turnoverball can be made to work with almost any gooseneck trailer. Hitch balls are available that have a built-in rise, an offset, and even a different connection type. Add on the Companion fifth-wheel hitch - which attaches directly to the Turnoverball with no other parts required - and you can tow your fifth-wheel trailer.

  • 5th Wheel Hitch Options For A 2017 Ram 3500 With A Bradford Flatbed
Hey Joe, Does your Bradford flatbed have a recessed gooseneck hitch already installed or is it just the flat bed right now? If not, you're going to need to cut out space for a gooseneck hitch like the B&W # BWGNRK1500 to be installed. From there you would need a 5th wheel hitch that mounts to a gooseneck ball like B&W's flat bed hitch # BWRVK3050. The bed height for a flatbed is typically a lot higher than a standard bed so a shorter hitch is typically going to be required so that the...

  • B&W Turnover Gooseneck for 2015 Ford F-350 Cab and Chassis
Hello Arash. Thank you for all the information, it is most helpful. The VIN confirmed that it is a 2015 Ford F-350 Cab and Chassis. For your 2015 Ford F-350 Cab and Chassis there is not a bolt on application. Your best bet would be to get the Center Section for B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Hitch - 30,000 lbs # BWGNRC800, this would need to be fabricated to work. If you had a flatbed on the chassis you could use B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for Flatbed Trucks...

  • Is There Spring Kit for B and W Companion for Flat Bed Trucks
Hey Marcus, there isn't a spring kit available to help tilt the B and W Companion Flat Bed 5th Wheel Hitch part # BWRVK3050 head back. Generally though if you are lined up decently the angle of the front of the hitch head will allow it to line up like it needs to. Do you have the B and W gooseneck hitch this was designed for part # BWGNRK1500.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch, Gooseneck Hitch, and Sway Control for 2007 Ram 3500 Flatbed Chassis
For your 2007 Dodge RAM 3500 HD Flat Bed Crew Cab with dually chassis there is not a B&W trailer hitch receiver available. Instead, I recommend you use the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class IV - 2" # 41936 rated for 1,200 lbs tongue weight or 12,000 lbs towing. If you need a stronger receiver or one that can use weight distribution, I recommend the Draw Tite Class V # 41947 rated for 15,000 lbs towing without weight distribution or 16,000 lbs towing with...

  • Are there Sliding 5th Wheel Hitches that Attach to Gooseneck Balls?
Hey David! Sorry to say but unless your flatbed truck has the B&W item # BWGNRK1500 and it's not in a recessed well, the only options I have for a gooseneck connected 5th wheel hitch are the Demco Recon item # DM8550045 or item # DM93YV. They just do not make sliding 5th wheel hitches that attach to gooseneck balls. The square receiver on the B&W item # BWGNRK1500 would allow you to attach the B&W Companion Slider item # BWRVK3400 if it was installed flush to your flatbed. It won't work...

  • Solution for Gooseneck Hitch for 1999 Ford F-550 Cab and Chassis
Hi Nat; we do have a few options to add a gooseneck hitch to your 1999 F-550 but there are no custom fit applications. I recommend using the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for Flatbed Trucks # BWGNRK1500. This will require welding, possibly some reinforcement, and a 4" diameter hole cut into whatever bed you have on the cab and chassis. We recommend taking it to a professional for installation.

  • Is There a B&W Gooseneck/Companion Hitch to Fit a 1971 Ford F-250
Hey Eric, thanks for reaching out! Definitely not laughing - I've seen some pretty crazy questions over the years and this doesn't even scratch the surface of crazy. The B&W gooseneck hitches are made with custom mounting brackets, and while there aren't any designed specifically for a 1971 Ford F-250, you might be able to use the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for Flatbed Trucks # BWGNRK1500 if you're willing/able to have some things modified on your truck. Hello Jason, I have a solution for you, but I don’t know of any hitch plates that allow you to change out the ball. You’ll want to go with the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for Flatbed Trucks # BWGNRK1500. When you look at the product page, you’ll see it’s rated for 30K, that’s just the ball rating. My contact at B&W confirmed that the overall weight capacity depends on the fabrication, so make sure you have a great welder do the job to ensure it can handle the 40K...

  • Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendation for 2022 Ram 5500 with Flat Bed
Hey Jeff, since flat bed trucks sit up a little higher you would need to go with a low profile B and W Companion hitch part # BWRVK3050 which was designed for your setup. You will also need to have the Turnoverball gooseneck hitch part # BWGNRK1500 installed in your truck bed as well as this doubles as a rail kit for this hitch.

  • How to Add Gooseneck Hitch to 1979 Ford F-250
Hi Bruce; I have two options for you but custom fit gooseneck hitches didn't start until 1980 for the F-250. The first is to use the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for Flatbed Trucks # BWGNRK1500. This is pretty much a universal gooseneck hitch so it will require welding and potentially some fabrication to get it installed. The second option is to install 5th wheel rails and then use an adapter. You can add the Reese Universal Base Rails # RP30035 which will allow you...

  • Can B&W Turnoverball Be Added To 2008 Ford F550 with Aluminum Aftermarket Body
Hey thanks for reaching out, James. I do have an option for adding a B&W Turnoverball to your 2008 Ford F550 with the aluminum aftermarket body, but there is nothing custom fit available for this vehicle, so we will have to go with the universal approach. Your best bet is going to be the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for Flatbed Trucks # BWGNRK1500 and then have mounting brackets fabricated and welded on to your chassis by a certified welder.

  • Do You Have a Gooseneck Hitch for a 2021 Chevy Silverado 5500?
Hey Matthew. No one makes a custom fit gooseneck hitch for a Silverado 5500 but we do have a couple of options depending on how your truck is setup. If you have a flatbed truck or one with a regular bed, you can use the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch item # BWGNRK1500. This will involve some fabrication. If your truck is a cab and chassis, the Buyers Products 42" x 13-1/2" Gooseneck Hitch Plate with 2-5/16" Ball And Two D-Rings item # 3373014981 is the best option....

This works with a minimum 14 by 14 and a maximum of 20 inch by 20 inch. It will work with the B and W Turnoverball setup you ordered as well since it attaches to a gooseneck ball.

  • Solution for 2020 Ford F-450 to Tow Gooseneck Trailer
Hey John, for cab and chassis trucks like your 2020 F-450 there aren't any custom fit gooseneck hitches made so you'll need to fabricate something. For that the best solution is to start with the part # BWGNRK1500 since you are wanting ability to at some point tow a 5th wheel and like B and W.
