Kit with universal mounting design eliminates the purchase of new clamps whenever you need to attach your Thule Flat Top rooftop ski and snowboard rack (TH724 or TH725 - first generation) to a different set of load bars or roof rack.

    • Fits crossbars narrower than 3-3/4" wide
  • Conveniently transfers from one style crossbar to another for easy movement from vehicle to vehicle

  • Includes (4) 2-piece clamps and hardware
    • Use the original nuts from your ski carrier if they are available. Replacement nuts (853-5439) can be purchased separately

etrailer delivered my order pretty fast. There was enough information in the product description to determine that the clamps would fit on my particular crossbars. The hardware was excellent and came with security bolts that require a special tool (included). I needed something to keep straps, and especially my hands, from sliding off the end of the Yakima CoreBars. Easy installation; great price.

I bought these to replace the square bar mounts on the an older Thule 598 ski rack so that I could attach it to the OEM bars on a Subaru. Conversion was easy and they work great.

Hello, I attempted to install the rack mounting kit. I was disappointed to learn that the kit did not include 4 new knobs to secure the rack onto the mounts. The old original ones, the plastic is brittle and cracked and no longer holds the nut in place.

The ski and snowboard rack mounting hardware kit that you ordered only comes with four clamps and the hardware. The part number for the wing knobs is part # 753-1897-03

Product was exactly what I needed to migrate my ski carrier from old square bars to modern blade/elliptical bars. As always, etrailer customer service and responsiveness was superb.

Significant reduction of design quality from the original design. The mounting screws are too short for a standard size roof rack. Had to change screws to fit the rack. Delivery was on time.

This kit is meant to work with most removeable and factory cross bars. They will fit with crossbars that are narrower then 3.75 inches wide.

This is the 25th anniversary of using 724 ski rack as a rod rack for our travel to the outer banks of North Carolina. The adapters and crossbars are the newest addition for the Jeep Cherokee. Everything fit like a dream!

This part was exactly as explained and great quality arrived perfectly on time with the predicted arrival time and was installed easily. Since I did not have the original Fasteners to connect the mounts to the snowboard rack I just bought some 6-100 thread pattern lock nuts and used those to connect the mounts other then that everything was flawless. With these mounts they will also connect to the top of a Thule roof basket with no hassle at all.

Just received and installed my mounting kit. Traded in my car for a new 2020 RAV4 that had factory cross bars and this mounting kit worked perfectly to mount my snowboard carriers!

Well... I can get it to fit on my wing bar. I had to use my own bolts to attach the mounting bracket to my Thule ski rack. The fit of the clamp onto my Thule wing bar is not exactly a perfect fit but it goes on. Once you have the ski rack put on your wing bar you probably will want to leave it on since taking it off will require unscrewing a bunch of bolts. Not some you would want to do when it is cold out. Not overly impressed with this Thule mounting kit.

The universal hardware upgrade kit utilizes the older style clamp system as it fits with the older generation of ski carriers from Thule. You may want to consider a newer ski carrier as they have a newer strap around clamp system that is easier to use. Such as part # TH7324B

Good communication, arrived fairly quickly. The bolts do not fit (too long) but since they are pretty standard thread I had some others that would work. Otherwise great!

I ordered this for an older model Thule 725 so that it would fit my Traverse 2020 crossbars. The kit arrived quickly and I had it on top of my car in about 20 minutes. Came with everything that I needed. Be sure you have your old wingnuts from your old hardware because as you can see from the description this does not come with new ones. Worked perfectly!

Purchased the 7533998 mounting kit to adapt my Thule 586 ski carrier to aerobars as the original brackets only worked for the thule square bars. I used the original mounting screws and rectangular washers from the 586 brackets and they worked perfectly with this adapter kit. Only the long screws were needed to hold each pair of feet together.

First picture shows the different parts. Old square bracket mount on left. Old screw and washer in the middle. New mounting kit bracket with old bolt and washer on the left. Second picture is just the bracket mounted to the carrier to show how it works.

Communication from the etrailer staff was fantastic and they were very helpful. Would definitely buy from them again for any future needs.

I saw reviews that said this didn't work with the Thule Wingbar Evo but I figured I would get some longer bolts to try and make it work. It's not really practical to make this work with the Evo using additional bolts and my complaint is not with etrailer but with Thule. The solution I ended up using was using 4 1/4 inch lag bolts and pushing them through the 724 ski rack and sliding through the slot on the Wingbar. Then I just simply secure the rack with a wingnut. Thule makes some great stuff but sometimes they over-complicate rack solutions like this mounting kit. Still this kit is great Thule quality and I'm sure it works great with the square bar.

I found everything I needed in order to throw away some old parts and hardware that was so sun damaged and time to get new. etrailer had every part and hardware items I was looking for.
