Assuming the bottom component is not metal and/or threaded, I will need a nut for the screws you provide in the kit. If am right what are my options? Again, I lost all the hardware related to the ski rack and hence the need to replace everything I am missing.

The Replacement Mounting Brackets and Hardware for Thule Pull Top Slide-Out Ski and Snowboard Carrier # TH753277902 will work if the holes are 4 inches apart on center.
