They've been on my roof for a year - freezing temperatures to baking hot sun - and they still work great. No signs of cracks or anything. Very happy with these.
Christopher - 08/15/2023The original knobs for the Thule Carrier bike trays all cracked over time. These replacement knobs fit perfectly and will increase the Carrier's useful like by several more years. eTrailer.com was the only place I could find these knobs, even Thule no longer carried them.
Needed to replace some Thule knobs sand it couldn't be easier to purchase from etrailer. They came quickly.
I have an older Thule ratcheting strap system for rectangular Thule cross bars. Lost one of the knobs that secure the brackets to the cross bars.
This knob did not fit - I need a knob with an M8 threaded insert. I believe this knob has an M6 threaded insert.
Appears to be great knob though.
Part fits perfectly. Lost one of these to road vibration, got four more (just in-case) from etrailer for very reasonable cost. Ordered the longer threaded section for added threaded connection strength.

I took an older model Thule bike rack out of storage and realized I was missing some parts. I have used etrailer before and was pleasantly surprised to find that they had everything I needed in stock - even parts that you can’t get directly from the manufacturer anymore. I have always had great experiences with eTraer and recommend them to everyone I know.
The Thule straps are rugged and work great to secure kayaks and other loads to my rooftop carrier. An awesome companion is the Thule buckle protector which ensures my car's paint isn't scratched if I inadvertently drop a strap and buckle.

I reluctantly ordered 3 at that price because I had to use my carrier immediately. Looking at my own etrailer order history; they were $[X.XX] each in 2013. I know that prices rise, but this was crazy - 8-fold plus! etrailer got greedy! I'll be sure to go to a metric fastener supplier BEFORE needing them again!

The hand knobs were exactly what I needed and fit by Thule rack perfectly! I'm very pleased with my purchase!
This part replaces 3-wing knobs on a variety of Thule components. I have used them with the U-bolt assemblies holding old bike trays to the rectangular load bars, and to attach a Thule faring to a load bar. I have come across 3-wing knobs with short and long stems, and these are the long ones. They're required for clearance above some of the accessories, but they also have a tendency to split when screwed down very tight.

Bill - 09/03/2016These fit my old Thule hull-a-port j-channel kayak carrier just fine after I lost several of the thumb screws. Replaced all 8 since they are so reasonably priced. And in case I lose another one!
