Excellent heavy duty hitch. I mounted it on a 2012 Flagstaff Classic 5th wheel and it works great.

by:

Install went smoothly, had to relocate the manual scissor jacks that are used to level the RV. Receiver hitch was heavy duty with quality bolting hardware included.

by:

Works great. Shipping box was damaged and several small items must have fallen out. etrailer made it right by shipping the missing parts right away. Excellent customer service!

by:

Great add on to my Alpine 5th wheel . Can now haul the bikes using a hitch bike rack instead of hanging them on the ladder. The hitch looks factory installed. Love it.

by:

Great quality! It wouldn’t have taken so long if we didn’t have to move the jack stabilizers first. I am very impressed with the look and feel of the motorcycle carrier as well as the adjustable hitch. Fit perfectly. Love it. My son is stoked.

by:

Very well built and sturdy. Was a little challenging to install.

by:

When hitch arrived the parts bag was open and a few bolts, nuts, etc were missing. Called etrailer and a new parts bag was shipped quickly. Fairly easy install on our 5th wheel. In pictures we haven't put the underside cover back up yet.

by:

I was not happy when I opened the box to install my hitch. There were no bolts, nuts , or washers in the box. The box had no holes in it so I feel it was shipped without. Good thing we have Ace Hardware close so I could finish the install. I had people here helping so I had to scramble on a Saturday.
Thanks for not shipping a complete kit.
Thanks again Bob

by:

Install the hitch I purchased from you I had to raise the bumper inch and half to make it fit and works great thx for a great product no issues what so ever also the bolt fishing tool was awesome thx again.

Awesome I pull a trailer with a side by side and had no problems at all.

by:

After figuring out how to mount this hitch on our camper it was evident that it would not bolt up to the existing brackets. We dropped the underbelly and ground off the brackets existing on the trailer and had a welder come in and weld the brackets that came with the hitch on the trailer! We are very pleased with the hitch. We are going to use it for our bike rack and maybe later something heavier!

by:

Shipment was right on time and receiver hitch was high quality. I have 35' Sandpiper Fifth-wheel RV and was not able to bolt up right to the frame without removing the panel covering under the RV, so I elected to make an extension which is welded to the end of the frame. Receiver hitch was then bolted on the extension without any problem in no time at all.

by:

THIS IS POSSIBLY THE ONLY WAY TO PUT A HITCH ON A FIFTH WHEEL. IT FIT LIKE IT WAS MADE FOR IT. I USE IT TO TRAILER MY HARLEY AND IT WORKS GREAT. I AM NOT AFRAID OF IT FALLING OFF DOWN THE ROAD. GREAT HITCH!!!

by:

It is a perfect use for a mountain bikes dirt bikes on the back of travel trailers. Be advised that the hitch will sit lower than normal and may have some clearance issues over uneven terrain. It’s a 3 inch lift is used on the axle or an axle flip os performed, There should not be a problem. Also be aware that most travel trailers only have about a 3 inch width on the beam which will not allow the use of all four holes on the side plate mounting holes on the hitch. Using both the two lower side holes and the bottom two holes still should make the hitch plenty secure

by:

Overall I am satisfied with the receiver hitch. I faced a few challenges installing the hitch. Mostly to due with the location of the bolt holes and the width of the lock nuts. I had to trim the lock nuts to clear the available space. It was an exercise of trial and error. I use the hitch to tow my 2,300 lbs. 16' Deep-V fishing boat behind my 5th wheel. The receiver has performed perfectly.

by:

Heavy duty! Fits perfectly.

by:

I was very pleased with the ordering process, the very quick delivery date, and the installation process. Although I did have to relocate my stabilizer jacks about 4 inches, this was no real issue. The hitch fit like a glove and I was able to install it myself. It took me a little longer than most others because I'm 68 yrs old and also have Parkinson's Disease. So If I can install it, I figure most anyone can. I've included a picture.

Thanks etrailer for a great experience.

Its been a year since I installed this hitch. Ive pulled my boat several times with no issues. Great hitch and also - NO RUST.

by:

Built well, heavy duty, all the hardware included was very good (4 bolts needs to 1/4”shorter, had to cut them),
The tube was 68 1/2” would have liked it to be 70”+ my inside demention was 75”. Overall a good installation experience.

by:

Shipped very quick, unlike others that have commented on the hitch being damaged, scratched and hardware missing. I received mine in perfect condition, hardware bag was ripped open but all pieces were in the box.
I have purchased from etrailer before and will again in the future

by:

As described. Fully adjustable to fit my fifth wheel. Nice quality and heavy duty! Very pleased!

by:

This worked great for my 2021 palomino puma 26fkds, with modifications. You either have to remove the bimper and raise it 2”, or drop the receiver (with adapter) 2”. But hitch fits perfectly

by:

Hitch is great. I added a double reciever and bolted to bumper. Works great.

by:

Ordered arrived in about 4 day. Packed well. Arrived in good condition. All part were intact. Dropped weather barrier in rear of my Montana 5th wheel. One rear cross members and a rear fresh water tank bracket was in the way. Cut 2” of left and right side to get brackets in. Installed left and right brackets. Marked and drilled holes. Installed with square tubing. Tightened bolt Reeled left and tight bracket in place. All secured. Easy. Took a little longer than expected. BUT I’m 70 years old. Feels good and solid. Should tow my little SXS trailer easily.

I will give the product 5 Stars
I will
give etrailer 3 1/2 Stars

This hitch was installed on a 2019 G.D. Imagine 2500RL.
It fit very well, I only had to cut a half inch off of each end of the bar and make a slight alteration to the camper bumper. I knew it would need to be cut to fit the TT at the time of purchase.

Installation was quite straightforward but did require a second person to help lift it into place a few times while adjusting the fit in my driveway.

Modifications to this particular TT necessary for installation other than the holes for the fasteners.
1- I made 1 small cut in the metal on the back wall, along the inner edge of each frame rail.
2- I wanted to leave the original bumper on the TT so I cut a 2 1/2” x 1 1/2” piece out of the 4” square bumper to allow the hitch receiver to fit into the bumper. The bumper sits firmly on the receiver and that section of the bumper is now welded to the hitch to make it one piece.
3- I had to relocate the rear stabilizer jacks just forward of the hitch.
4- As a bonus, I did not need to remove the Safety Struts I had installed the year before.
5 STARS

I give etrailer 3 1/2 Stars because I also received the hitch two weeks late and with all of the hardware missing. This would have been a 1 Star but I left myself some extra installation time and etrailer was able to get the hardware to me within a week. So I was able to install the hitch before my camping trip

by:

Took some work to get it on. Not hard just take your time. I cut a template with a piece of plywood to use to mark the holes in the frame to get everything lined is. Hitch looks great. Plenty strong enough to carry a e-bike.

by:

This is the second one of these I have bought and installed on the back of campers. They are used to pull a 6.5" x 12 trailer that is hauling dirt bikes. It's a great unit but I modify them so they don't hang down as far and still give plenty of room to go boondocking.

I have been using this one for over a year now and have not had a single issue. I do modify them for my campers so they are not stock but they offer a great unit that can be easily made to work on any trailer if you know how to weld. If you dont and just use them as built they would work just fine also.

  • Recommended Bike Rack to Use with the Stromberg Carlson Bike Bunk
I have a great option for you. When using the Stromberg Carlson Bike Bunk Trailer-Mounted Bike Rack Carrier for A-Frame Trailers # CC-275 there are a few parameters you will need to stay within. The bike rack needs to be travel trailer rated, fit a 2" hitch and the combined weight of the bike rack and your bikes needs to be less than 100 lbs. Given these parameters I recommend the Lets Go Aero NEO2 2-Bike Rack # B01748. This 2 bike rack is the lightest weight of the racks that are rated...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch for a 2019 Forest River Rockwood Ultra Lite with Welded Bumper
Thanks for the photo! I can now see the issues you are having trying to install a trailer hitch on your 2019 Forest River Rockwood Ultra Lite Fifth Wheel. That said, the brackets for the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13703 and the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13704 are too large to attach to the square tubing used to attach your bumper and this square tubing would get in the way if you tired to mount the hitch to the frame underneath.
