Excellent adhesion to tank, good wire quality, now I have to wait for it to get cold to see if it works!

by:

Nice, high quality hitch at a great pri ce.

Excellent customer service with the best price and shipped fast. Thank you

by:

Easy to look for product and shows if it fits your vehicle.really fast shipping

by:

arrived on time, product looks good no shipping damage. I haven't installed as yet but it looks to be the correct fit for the one I'm replacing.

by:

Easy install. I recommend power tools if you live in a rust area and the vehicle has been on the road awhile. Running a tap through the holes being used is a big help, especially the bolt holes that did not have a bolt in it. The hitch is of good quality and install was straight forward.

by:

Fairly simple install, everything lined up and all hardware included.

by:

It went on easily enough, and has performed excellently, towing first an aluminum 14' runabout, and now a 17.5 Glastron Ski/fish combo boat. Never a problem with the hitch.

by:

Mounted on 2012 Xterra. Great Hitch, fits perfectly, and I installed easily within an hour by myself. No doubt easier with a 2nd pair of hands, but you do what you have to when you're by yourself.
Definitely loosen the tailpipe exhaust bracket - helped immensely. The top of the tailpipe clears the bottom of the hitch by about 3/8". Beautiful engineering -I highly recommend this product.

Thorough and very helpful

  • My Trailer Hitch Does Not Appear To Fit Due To The Bracket Being Bent
I will start by saying the Curt # 13514 hitch is a fit for your 2007 Nissan Xterra, so you definitely have the correct part. As to the flange not sitting flush like it should, this is actually a fairly common occurrence with hitches. The frame brackets on hitches are a mild steel so they can flex with the frame of your vehicle when it twists over bumpy terrain. This is intentional as if it was too hard a steel, it would end up breaking. So all you need to do is bend it back into place. There...

  • How to Carry Kayak & Cargo on 2015 Nissan Xterra
Appreciate the photo of your 2015 Nissan Xterra (not to mention the view), and while there is a way for you to carry cargo along with a kayak, it isn't possible to add both on your factory roof rack because the bars simply aren't wide enough. Your Xterra has 32 inches of crossbar space and there isn't a roof bag or cargo box narrow enough to go with a kayak carrier. So what I recommend instead, seeing as how you have a trailer hitch receiver like the Curt # 13514 is a hitch-mounted cargo...

  • Replacement Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Hardware for 2008 Nissan Xterra
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13514 will use 4- M14 bolts with 9/16" lock washers and 2- M12 bolts with 1/2" conical toothed washers. I recommend the Replacement Hardware Kit for Trailer Hitches # RHK. You will just need to input that you have a Curt hitch item number 13514 when ordering. This will ensure that you get the exact size and grade hardware for your hitch.

  • Locking Hitch Pin Recommendation for a GMC Sierra 1500
I would recommend you go with the Curt locking hitch pin part # C23519. This is confirmed to fit the 2 inch hitch on your GMC Sierra 1500. Class I and II are 1-1/4 inch hitches that typically require a smaller hitch pin. The Class III, IV and V are 2 inch hitches and the same length locking hitch pins will work. I attached an FAQ article on hitch classifications for you to check out also as well as a review video for the # C23519.

  • Replacement Mounting Hardware for 2012 Nissan Xterra Hitch Receiver
There is different hardware available for each specific hitch and yes, you can purchase the hardware kit by itself. Since hitch receivers are custom fitted to vehicles, the hardware parts you receive will correlate with each receiver option for your 2012 Nissan Xterra. The replacement Hardware Kit for Trailer Hitches is # RHK, but you will need to select your hitch item number and manufacturer when ordering to ensure you receive the proper hardware for your hitch. • Recommended Trailer Hitch Pin for a Class III Trailer Hitch with 2 Inch Receiver
The Curt Trailer Hitch, # 13514, is a Class III trailer hitch with a 2 inch receiver so you will need a 5/8 inch diameter pin just like you suggested. For a standard pin and clip, we have # PC3 or # C21510. For a locking pin we have the Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock, # e98880.

  • What is Needed for a Complete Tow Package for 2005 Nissan Xterra 4wd
I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch # 13514. The class III hitch has a 2-inch receiver, 4000-pound towing and 400-pound tongue weight capacity and bolts onto your Xterra's frame with no welding required. You will also need a wiring harness. Which harness you require depends on whether your vehicle comes with a factory 7-way connector, a factory 4-way connector or without a factory 7-way or 4-way connector. If your vehicle comes with a factory 7-way connector, you will need part # 118266. To...

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2011 Nissan Xterra
All of the trailer hitches available for a 2011 Nissan Xterra are going to be Class III trailer hitches. This is good because that is exactly what I would recommend. A Class III trailer hitch is going to give you plenty of gross trailer weight capacity and the 2 inch receiver will allow you more options for accessories like bike racks and cargo carriers. Basically, all 3 of the available hitches for your vehicle install in the same way. If you are looking to save a little money, go with...

Let's start with the hitch; I recommend the Curt # 13514, a Class III hitch with a trailer weight capacity of 4,000 lbs and tongue weight capacity of 400 lbs. You will also need a ball mount, and I recommend checking out Ball Mount Kit # 989900, which offers two ball mounts - one with a 3/4” rise or 2” drop and the other with a 2-3/4” rise or 4” drop - a 1-7/8” hitch ball, a 2” hitch...

  • What is the Maximum Capacity of Curt Trailer Hitch 13515 for a 2012 Nissan Xterra
The Curt trailer hitch, # 13514, is rated for up to 6,000 pounds when used with weight distribution. When not using weight distribution it is rated for up to 4,000 pounds like you said. All of the trailer hitches for the 2012 Nissan Xterra are rated for 3,500 pounds to 4,000 pounds weight carrying capacity. From the information I could find, all the trim levels of the 2012 Nissan Xterra have a maximum towing capacity of 5,000 pounds. But if your owners manual says different then you will...

  • Recommended Kayak Racks for 11-1/2 Foot Long and 85-lbs Kayaks on 2006 Nissan Xterra
I have a solution for you, but I was able to determine from my research that the 2006 Nissan Xterra roof has a capacity of 150-lbs, so adding a kayak carrier and 2 kayaks that weigh 85-lbs each would put you over capacity of your roof. Your best solution for carrying kayaks of that length and weight would be using a kayak trailer like the Malone EcoLight # MAL43FR, which comes with extra wide kayak carriers that will fit a variety of different style boats. • Hitch for 2009 Nissan Xterra for Carrying Motorcycle Carrier
The highest rated hitch we offer for your 2009 Nissan Xterra is the Curt # 13514 which has a tongue weight rating of 400 lbs. This would leave you with 80 lbs for the weight of your carrier since your motorcycle weighs 320 lb. Rear suspension enhancement like the SumoSprings kit part # SSR-210-47 would be a great option since that will be a lot of additional weight on your rear suspension.

Thanks for the kind wishes and I did check out the owner's manual for your 2008 Nissan Xterra, and what it says is that the vehicle has a 5,000 lb towing capacity and 500 lb tongue weight capacity. I recommend verifying these numbers in your manual, but if your hitch only has a 350 lb tongue weight capacity, you can add an aftermarket hitch with a higher capacity.
