Question:
I own a 2006 nissan xterra and have two 85 lb. 11.5 ft fishing kayaks I am trying to find a rack to carry both with. The malone racks say 75lb max. What would you recommend?

I have a solution for you, but I was able to determine from my research that the 2006 Nissan Xterra roof has a capacity of 150-lbs, so adding a kayak carrier and 2 kayaks that weigh 85-lbs each would put you over capacity of your roof. Your best solution for carrying kayaks of that length and weight would be using a kayak trailer like the Malone EcoLight # MAL43FR, which comes with extra wide kayak carriers that will fit a variety of different style boats.
If you don't already have a hitch, wiring harness and the other parts you'd need to tow a trailer, I've listed what I recommend using below.
Trailer Hitch: Curt # 13514
Wiring Harness: Curt # C56225
Ball Mount Kit: # 989900
I've also linked some installation and review videos of these parts for you to have a look at, as well.
