Choose a remote-controlled kit to keep your existing furnace thermostat, or pick a wall-thermostat kit if you want the AC and a propane furnace controlled together.
Close the vent on the air distribution box to force more air through the ducts. Open it when you want more air dumped into the room. If your RV is ducted, confirm the air box has a closeable vent and set it how you prefer.
Installation can be straightforward. One person installed in about 4 hours with no prior experience. The unit is close to 80 lbs, so have help or a plan to get it on the roof. Follow the instructions and use the specified inch-pounds on the retaining bolts for a proper seal.
Provide a constant 12 volt supply and ground to the wall thermostat so HEAT mode works when 120v isn't present. Connect the furnace control wire to FURN (+) at the thermostat and leave GND unpopulated if instructed. Check the dip switches; switch 2 ON for gas furnace. In non-HEAT modes an error can show without 120v, which can be ignored in HEAT.
