Updated 01/05/2026 | Published 01/01/2026

Question:

Hi, I am looking to change out my AC units on my 2006 Monaco LaPalma and was needing to know if the Furrion 15000 BTU FR65TD setup for front ac with the Furrion Chill HE 13500 FR26TD would work for replacements?

Hey Mary. The Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System item # FR65TD is a single zone system so it's going to have everything you need to get it installed and running. However, the system is going to be isolated from your other AC.

The Furrion Chill HE Replacement RV Roof Air Conditioner Unit - 13,500 Btu - White - R32 item # FR26TD is just the air conditioner that mounts up on the roof so it's not going to do anything by itself. You would need the Furrion item # FR95TD instead to have a fully functional and independent second unit.

If you're trying to install a couple of Furrion Chill HE air conditioners that can be controlled by the same thermostat you'll need the following parts:

Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System - Multi Zone - 15,000 Btu - Black - R32 item # FR45TD or item # FR73TD in White

Furrion Chill HE Replacement RV Roof Air Conditioner Unit - 13,500 Btu - White - R32 item # FR26TD

Air Distribution Box for Furrion Chill RV Air Conditioners - Electric Control - R32 item # FR68TD

Multi Zone Controller for Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner Setup - R32 item # FR53TD

Are you looking for a multi-zone set up or do you want your AC systems to be independently controlled?

Hi, I want the systems to be independently controlled. Do you have a packed ready to go system that has everything needed to install?

@Mary We sure do. It just depends on whether or not you want thermostats for both or just want to control them through the air distribution box. The Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System - Single Zone - 15,000 Btu R32 item # FR65TD in black or item # FR73TD in White was the original system you asked about. It's got a thermostat along with everything else you'll need to get up and running. For your secondary 13,500 Btu system, we have the Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System item # FR95TD in white or item # FR52TD in black. These would be controlled directly from the air distribution box. For 13,500 btu setups with thermostats you'll need item # FR35TD in white or item # FR25TD in black. All of these systems are independently controlled. If you could tell me what color you want and which AC you need to have a thermostat with I'll give you the exact two part numbers you'll need.

@Mary Ok, that's not independently controlled. That's what's called a multi-zone system. For a setup like that you'll need the following parts: Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System - Multi Zone - 15,000 Btu item # FR73TD in White Furrion Chill HE Replacement RV Roof Air Conditioner Unit - 13,500 Btu - White - R32 item # FR26TD Air Distribution Box for Furrion Chill RV Air Conditioners - Electric Control - R32 item # FR68TD Multi Zone Controller for Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner Setup - R32 item # FR53TD
