I don't believe a 2016 Volvo VNL780 has electric brake wiring since they are setup for the air brakes of a semi truck trailer but the Tuson DirecLink Base Model Trailer Brake Controller # 335DL-100 can still be used as long as it has a 12 volt electrical system. You'd just need to hardwire the controller to the truck using it's included universal wiring harness.

You are correct that both the Curt # C92WR and Draw-Tite # 76194 trailer hitch receivers have the same basic design for your 2024 Volvo XC60 Recharge. We actually had the opportunity to install the Curt on a 2024 XC60 so if your XC60 Recharge has the same cutout in the bumper that we show in the video (and I've attached in a photo) then you won't have to trim anything or hammer anything into place.

Hey Brandon, I would strongly recommend sticking with the Tekonsha RF brake controller part # TK94FR. We know this works really well and it sounds like it worked well for you too. The Curt Echo is not reliable enough for me to really ever recommend it for anyone. The Autowbrake part # 3430001 is a really solid option too but the overall feedback we've gotten is that the RF is best overall.

Yep, you do have the steps correct, with one small part missing. You'll need to plug in your 4-way, run the power wire to the battery, and also attach the ground wire to install the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation # ETBC7L.

It appears that none of the aftermarket manufacturers have a hitch option for your 2024 Volvo S60. I recommend visiting a local fabrication shop in your area to determine if they can help you with a Weld-On Receiver # E17.

I have a solution for you. Any time you use any adapter like the MaxxTow Hitch Adapter # MT70032, you reduce the overall weight capacity of the hitch by 50%. With that being said, that will reduce your trailer's hitch to only 65 pounds of available tongue weight. Since the OnRamp # Y36FR already weighs 39.5 pounds, that leaves only 25.5 pounds of available tongue weight on the rack. This is extremely dangerous. Jess, so yeah the Tuscon # 335TSC-1000 would work but it's going to require quite a bit of wiring so when you go to switch trailers you're going to need to do a lot to transfer the unit.
I'd instead recommend going with the Curt Echo # C51180 which is 100% wireless. This brake controller just plugs into your 7-way and works in conjunction with the app to provide your trailer with brakes.
