The reason the Draw Tite hitch part # 76194 can't be used with a weight distribution system is due to how it attaches to the vehicle. What we have found is that if it attaches along the bottom of the frame rails it can be used with a WD system, assuming the vehicle can handle it, but if it attaches to the back of the frame like this hitch it cannot be used with a WD. I went out to the warehouse and measured a Replacement U-Bolt, # TH02943. The center to center distance between each end of the u-bolt is 4 inches. It is 2 inches deep in the center. The cross bars on your Volvo XC90 would have to be smaller than those dimensions in order for these u-bolts to fit.

Take a look of the picture I have included showing Curt trailer hitch # C13233 installed on a 2016 Volvo XC90. If you measure from the bottom of the piece pointed out in the picture down about 4-1/2 inches that is approximately where the bottom of the hitch will be after it is installed.
