Question:

I have a 2008 Prius. Need Trailer Light Kit. You list two. Code 118505 and C56147. Confusing, which one do I need? Thank for a quick reply.

If the trailer you'll be pulling has minimum lighting, one stop/turn/taillight on each side at the rear of the trailer, or if the lamps are LEDs then the Tow Ready # 118505 would work just fine for you.

The Curt # C56147 has a slightly higher capacity, so if you have more lamps on your trailer other than the minimum amount mentioned above, the Curt harness might be a better choice.

I've linked you to an install video for the Tow Ready harness. The procedure for the Curt harness would be identical.

Before attempting to tow with your Prius, I'd recommend you check with your owner's manual to determine the vehicle's towing capacity.
