Question:
I have purchased a Curtis 56147 4-way wiring loom to compliment the trailer hitch, I purchased from eTrailer. The trailer connection is a 4 pin plug. My trailer has a 7 pin flat plug. Will the tail-light/brake light on the trailer work from the single tail outlet on the Curt module or will I have to add a 7 pin converter connection to the loom to power the tail a nd brake light? The hitch works a treat on the 2010 Prius. Thank you.

When you state that your trailer has a 7-pin flat pin plug, are you referring to a 7-way like part # A7WCB?
If so, please be aware that a 7-way connector such as that would frequently be found on a larger trailer that has electric brakes that probably shouldn't be towed by a Prius. I don't believe Toyota recommends using the Prius for towing, you'll want to consult your owner's manual.
If the trailer is smaller and doesn't have brakes, you can use an adapter like # 37185 to convert the 4-pole on the Prius to a 7-way blade-style connector. Since it sounds like your trailer has a combined brake lamp system, this arrangement should work just fine. The converter provided by the Curt # C56147 takes the separated turn signal and brake lamp circuits and combines them into a right turn/brake and left turn/brake for the trailer.
