Troubleshooting Hybrid Error Code After Trailer Wiring Install of 2010 Toyota Prius

Greatly appreciated. Everything appears to be working now. During the install, I dropped a screw and had to disconnect the battery to retrieve the screw. I think this was the cause for all my problems. As I mentioned earlier, I disconnected the trailer wire harness the car and initially that didn't help at all. But after waiting (O/N) the car ran fine. So, I simply reattached everything...and did not have to disconnect the batter this time. Everything works fine.

The video you referenced shows the Tekonsha kit part # 118505 install on a 2010 Toyota Prius like yours which is basically the exact same install as the Curt part # C56147 that you have. If there's a Hybrid Error warning light coming on I would suspect the issue is related to the battery wire of the kit. Make sure it's attached to the positive terminal of the battery securely and no exposed wire on this circuit is making contact to anything metal. It's also possible the battery terminal wasn't tightened all the way.
