Is the correct size drop for a 2500 Silverado Custom 4x4 to a cargo trailer.

by:

This arrived today and I had it installed 15 minutes later. Should work perfectly on my lifted truck. The truck itself has a 6 inch lift and with 35 inch tires that adds about another inch and a half so I definitely needed a lower drop to properly pull our trailer. I did use a grinder on the Reese part to remove about a quarter size spot of paint that was sprayed a little thick but no big deal. I don’t think most people will have this problem. Just what I needed to properly pull our trailer.

by:

Perfect fit with my existing Reese 1,200 lb. weight distributing head assembly! The solid bar had a few minor chips and a dent (!) from shipping.

by:

Just what I needed to get my weight distribution hitch back down on my new Ram 2500 four wheel drive. Needed about 5 more inches of drop, this is perfect! Cost was less than half what the big box Camping store wanted for about the same size . Ordered on Saturday and it was on my porch by Tuesday !!! Expect this to have great match to my E2 hitch , no picture right now , camper is put away for season. Thanks again , great to deal with your company

Works great , just wish I’d had the time to get the camper out more, busy year

by:

This item says 1.2k TW. The one I received says 1.4k TW, but the part numbers match. I'm not complaining, all the measurements are the same. Great service as always! Thank you.

by:

Thank you for the prompt delivery of my hitch. It arrived just a few hours ago. With the tracking available for the delivery, I had a good idea of when to expect it and happened to be outside to meet the driver, and had the hitch installed before he pulled away! Thank you!

Just upgraded to new trailer and continues to function well.

by:

What can I say about a shank, works as designed. I have a Nash 25C trailer which sits pretty high when connecting to my stock Tundra. This shank coupled with the Fastway e2 weight distribution hitch worked like a champ and now my trailer is level with no sway.

by:

Product was exactly as advertised and recommended by etrailer for my use. The shank is solid steel plus the triangulated welded piece for added strength.

It is working as intended, very strong and well built.

by:

Just what I needed for my 2021 GMC Yukon. The drop that was installed by the dealer wasn’t sufficient. To get the trailer level, they set it up with the weight under distributed and a considerable amount of sag to the rear of the vehicle. This shank allowed me to correct that situation, getting the trailer level and the tongue weight better distributed for a much safer ride.

by:

Solid product. The extra length on the shank allowed me to get my ball hitch down to the proper height to allow level towing of the Airstream with my Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Diesel.

by:

I would buy again. Reputable business. There chat department could use a little help. The chat department is not as knowledgeable as I would have preferred. I was able to figure out the part I needed and it works great.

by:

I recently purchased and new 17 Super Duty and was looking for a bigger drop for my weight distribution hitch. I already have the Fastway E2 system so this was a perfect fit.

by:

Item worked great to get my camper level while towing with my Expedition! Very well made, fast shipping, and packaged very well.

by:

Get's the job done. I needed just a bit more than 5 inches of drop for my application - wish Fastway had offered a slightly shorter option to eliminate the excess below the trunion head and provide a bit more ground clearance.

by:

Nice well built shank. Easy to change between my truck & motorhome.

GREAT

by:

Perfect for a lifted truck, got the trailer back to level and very heavy duty piece.

by:

Very well made. Provides enough drop for my equalizer on my Dodge Ram 1500 with a 5 inch lift. Etrailer was great in getting me the product fast.

by:

Perfect solution… low trailer now level and doesn’t scrape on driveways… quality product, great support, and quick shipment!… Bravo to you all!

by:

I really like the available adjustments on this. Very well built for the job it does. Mostly used for towing my 32 foot travel trailer.

by:

Fast shipping. Excellent product. Very pleased with the quality of the Drop Shank.

by:

Product arrived EARLIER than expected and as described. Excellent customer service and shipping updates were awesome!

by:

Super fast shipping and awsome customer service, powder coat not the prettiest but who cares , welds look good and its what i needed at a good price.

by:

I could not find the product I needed at the online site so I called. Your customer service person Susan answered and found the part I needed. She provided excellent service. I ordered the part, I received a confirmation number by email, and the part arrived earlier than the time she said to expect it . 5 stars.

by:

It’s heavy duty !
Finished nicely
It

by:

I received the new shank quickly and the order was exactly what I wanted. I would recommend etrailer.com to anyone who wants or needs any of their products.

Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control - Trunnion - 6,000 lbs GTW, 600 lbs TW Item # FA92-00-0600 weighs approximately 75 pounds when you add a ball such as # A-90 for a 2 inch or # 19286 for a 2-5/16 inch. Keep in mind that the weight of the weight distribution you use is not factored in to the total tongue weight. To choose a weight distribution system you will need to go by the total tongue weight of the set up. This is calculated by taking the tongue weight of the...

  • Can Spring Bars On 6000lb Fastway e2 Weight Distribution Hitch Be Upgraded For More Tongue Weight?
Since the tongue weight of your Lance 2185 Travel Trailer is 755lbs unloaded you can and should replace the spring bars, as the head assembly used for the 600lb/6000lb system is the same as the 800lb/8000lb, 1000lb/10000lb, and 1200lb/12000lb systems. To make sure you get the correct rated spring bars you will need to verify the total tongue weight of your setup which is the tongue weight of your fully loaded and ready to tow trailer plus the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of...

  • Recommended Weight Distribution System for a Trailer with Tongue Weight of 500-600 lbs
You always want to check your weight ratings and how much your equipment weighs before going on a trip to make sure that you are within your weight capacities. Another thing to keep in mind is that your Tongue Weight (TW) should be between 10-15 percent of your trailer. When looking at a WD system you will want to make sure that the Total Tongue Weight (TTW) of your loaded and ready-to-go setup falls in the middle of the range of the WD system that you choose. The Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control - Round - 10,000 lbs GTW, 1,000 lbs TW # FA94-00-1061, has a shank that will drop 1-5/8 inches from top of hitch receiver opening, so if you measure from the ground to the top of that inside receiver opening and then subtract the height to keep your trailer level, you will know what drop is needed from your weight distribution system shank. For a Fasway system, I recommend the Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank - 12" Long - 10" Rise,...

If you need even more of a change, the part # FA92-02-4315 features a 12-1/2" rise or a 9-3/4" drop. If you're needing something different, just let me know!
