Can Blue Ox Adjustable Drop Ball Mount # BLU48CR be Used when Towing Camper

We have a Dodge dually and currently use a hitch ball for towing our camper. We have an antisway set up we would like to use. In the questions and reviews it seems people are using this drop receiver only for towing vehicles behind a motorhome. Our camper is roughly 5k when fully loaded. Is this receiver appropriate to use with our antisway set up? We cant find a reason it wouldnt be but better to ask than assume.

Hey Dollene, the Blue Ox Adjustable Drop Hitch Receiver Adapter # BLU48CR that you referenced was only designed for flat towing vehicles and would not be able to handle the tongue weight of a trailer. Are you basically just needing a way for your weight distribution system to have more drop than it has currently? If so, we have shanks like the part # FA92-02-4315 that would help accomplish that.
