When your vehicle has a 6-pole round socket but your trailer uses a 4-flat plug, this adapter makes the connection simple. The adapter works correctly, but the alignment strip was a little too large and needed trimmed down to plug into my vehicle. It took 15 seconds with a pocket knife.
Worked perfectly! Instead of replacing the entire wiring harness on my old 98 Chev pickup, I just use this adaptor.

I have a 6 pin plug mounded in my bumper which works for MY trailer but if I used or rented someone else's trailer, they usually took a 4 flat plug. This will work perfectlly for that situation. Thank you etrailer!
Order processing was fast and accurate. ETrailer contacted me when they found a delay in the original part availability and suggested a substitute. I haven't plugged my trailer into it yet, but fit to the truck connector was precise and connector looks to be of very good quality.

Still using it one year later. No complaints.
I believe would have worked great. However, I sold car dolly I was going to tow before I got to use it. It appeared compatible with the wiring on my 2000 Minnie Winnie hitch. Hope to use it in the future.

Bought this so that I could adapt the 6 pole female plug on my Minnie Winnie motor home to the flat 4 type to pull my little boat trailer behind it. Works perfectly!

Works just fine for what it is intended! Quality product at a good price. Even bought an extra just in case...but in case hasnt happened so just have a spare.

When I bought my motor home the dealer didn't have anything to adapt to my simple 4 wire setup and after working up a cost to cob a bunch of things together to get lights working on my toad I finally told them no thanks and drove home without lights(it was a daylight run)...got on your site and found exactly what I needed. I used this adapter to connect 4-way auxiliary tail lamps for a hitch-mounted bike carrier to a 6-way winnebago connector. It works fine for marker lights and turn signals but not for brake lights. I think there is a winnebago-specific wiring pattern that this adapter does not cover.

The wiring harness continues to work as I described. It has been durable and weather resistant. I have had it in continuous service for the past year and over 30,000 miles.Overall, it works well and I am pleased.
Excellent replacement for older adapter.Also,replaced the old worn out 6 pin connecter on the rv with a Pollak connector.
