Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this Road Active Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit. Now this kit is designed to fit your 2015 and newer Ford E-350 E-Series Cutaway and your 2008 to 2014 Ford Van E-150, 250, and 350. On custom fit parts such as this kit, I do recommend taking advantage of our vehicle fit guide. Just insert the year, make and model of your vehicle and our fit guide will confirm if this will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you.
So as you know, wind towing or hauling a heavy load, you may encounter a number of problems that can make your driving experience difficult or dangerous, such as sway, body roll, or bottoming out. When your vehicle is weighted down, your factory leaf springs can't counteract these problems to the extent that they are supposed to. The weight will overpower the leaf springs and cause 'em to twist or flatten out. And when that happens, they can't support, level, or stabilize your vehicle effectively. Additionally, because your factory leaf springs are passive, they won't begin to tackle problems such as sway until those problems are already started.
Now this kit is going to convert your vehicle's factory leaf springs into a mechanically active suspension system. It will actively strengthen the leaf springs for improved ride quality with or without a load. And this all in one suspension system will improve stability, handling and control. It will eliminate axle wrap, wheel hop, bottoming out. It will reduce dangerous sway and body roll when you're cornering.
And this will keep your ride level when you're towing or hauling a heavy load, improving your traction while braking and accelerating. This does use the variable rated coil tension springs, which automatically adjust to your vehicle's load. They activate immediately to support the extra weight and they'll disengage when unloaded allowing your leaf springs to perform as originally intended. They can be adjusted during installation to accommodate your towing or hauling needs, and they are independently adjustable for side to side leveling of any off center loads. These are gonna help extend the life of your leaf springs, your shock absorbers, shackles, and even your tires.
And these are made here in the USA and are constructed of a durable epoxy e-coated steel. The corrosion resistant brackets on the ends here of each of these units have a salt spray rating of more than 800 hours. And this is going to be an easy bolt on insulation. There's no drilling, cutting, or welding required. This is going to secure on top of the leaf spring and under the U-bolt plate and they arrive just as you see them here, fully assembled. And these are gonna be maintenance free. Adjustments and monitoring aren't needed once they're installed. Instructions are gonna be included to guide you through the installation process. Now these do have a weight capacity of 2000 pounds, however, I do want to make sure that you're aware of the fact that this kit does not actually increase your vehicle's weight carrying capacity.
