Jeff: Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at the Bower Products T-Handle Lock for truck caps. This is in a matte black finish. Now, this locking T-handle will replace a broken or damaged handle that's on your truck cap or camper shell. It is a clockwise rotating handle, mounts on the passenger side of your dual lock cap or the center on your single lock cap.
And when you do install this, this is a blind mounted design. Basically, it installs flush with the mounting hardware and the mounting hardware remains hidden inside the lock cap. It is a die-cast sink construction, which is very durable and built to last. We mentioned it is a nice matte black color, and this lock can be keyed alike to match other Bauer Products J Series locks.And the way to do that is just you go on the product page of this part number and up at the top right-hand corner, you'll see a section that says Keyed Alike from the dropdown menu. Click on that.
And then right underneath it, you'll see a box and it'll say, "Enter the number of locks you need into the quantity box." It does include the two keys. Again, just to lock it, if you put the key in and then turn it 180 degrees, take the key out, and that way you won't be able to open it. It is locked. And then when you put your key back in and then turn it back 180 degrees it'll allow you to open it up.A few dimensions on this. The width of it is going to be right at 3-1/2".
The total depth when it's installed is going to be right at 1-3/4". And the overall height is going to be right at about 1-1/4" tall. The length of the shaft itself is 2" and the distance between the two mounting holes right here center to center is going to be right at 1-1/2". But again, you go to twist it to open it up, turn it to close it, and then to lock it, go ahead and put your key in there, turn it 180 degrees, and then it's locked. Simple as that.

Exact replacement for my truck canopy
After one full winter I expected these to be seized, yet when I locked then this spring they function at if brand new. Good locked!
I order this T handle with keys because I needed the
key number K 127 to match the at hand locks on my LEER camper shell. The key kitt and works. I’m grateful the eTrailer phone agent was able to figure out I could get the key by ordering the T handle. Recently sold that camper shell and I wanted to give the buyer a key so they could use the T handle locks. The buyer is thrilled!
Everything looks great. I just received my order on 01/21 but haven't got it installed yet.
the handles work great! The only thing that surprised me is that they did not come with insert for the inside of the handle assembly and the flipper bar that slides on the square shaft after the assembly has been installed.I just transferred those parts from the old handles but my cap is very secure!!

Bought these to replace my old tlock handles because the key was really warm down and the lock tumbler was rusty. These are a great choice and when I was confused on which to buy customer service was very helpful and helped me chose the correct handles to buy. This topper lock was purchased to replace an Oval Jason topper lock that was no longer available. It bolted right up and some clear sealer on the outside mounting surface made it leakproof. It came with 2 keys and that was a plus.

Use the Video to determine which T handle to order. It has the correct orientation of clockwise vs counterclockwise. The written description is wrong.
This was a direct replacement for the center lock on a Century brand topper, Clockwise is the direction to close it as you are facing it. Very simple to change: 2 screws and a keeper. You have to reuse the original screws because this does not come with any. Came with 2 keys. Very happy with product and service.

Still going strong after a year. No issues.
A replacement for frozen locks on my snowmobile trailer. But I'm surprised/disappointed that the new locks did not come with the covers.
