Jeff: Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at the Bower Products T-Handle Lock for truck caps. This is in a matte black finish. Now, this locking T-handle will replace a broken or damaged handle that's on your truck cap or camper shell. It is a clockwise rotating handle, mounts on the passenger side of your dual lock cap or the center on your single lock cap.
And when you do install this, this is a blind mounted design. Basically, it installs flush with the mounting hardware and the mounting hardware remains hidden inside the lock cap. It is a die-cast sink construction, which is very durable and built to last. We mentioned it is a nice matte black color, and this lock can be keyed alike to match other Bauer Products J Series locks.And the way to do that is just you go on the product page of this part number and up at the top right-hand corner, you'll see a section that says Keyed Alike from the dropdown menu. Click on that.
And then right underneath it, you'll see a box and it'll say, "Enter the number of locks you need into the quantity box." It does include the two keys. Again, just to lock it, if you put the key in and then turn it 180 degrees, take the key out, and that way you won't be able to open it. It is locked. And then when you put your key back in and then turn it back 180 degrees it'll allow you to open it up.A few dimensions on this. The width of it is going to be right at 3-1/2".
The total depth when it's installed is going to be right at 1-3/4". And the overall height is going to be right at about 1-1/4" tall. The length of the shaft itself is 2" and the distance between the two mounting holes right here center to center is going to be right at 1-1/2". But again, you go to twist it to open it up, turn it to close it, and then to lock it, go ahead and put your key in there, turn it 180 degrees, and then it's locked. Simple as that.
