Today we're going to take a look at the conventional dual spring ramp door spring for the eight foot wide enclosed trailers. This has 150-pound capacity. Now you can replace your old trailer door spring using this heavy duty dual spring conventional ramp door spring. As we mentioned, the application is for eight foot wide trailers. Now this ramp door spring will let you easily list and lower the door on your enclosed trailer, without the risk of injury. Helps take on the weight of the trailer door so that you don't have to.
And it is dual spring, so it does eliminate the risk of the ramp door collapsing and causing damage or injury. Basically, if one cable falters, the other spring will prevent the trailer door from free-falling. This spring will also help reduce wear and help prevent damage to your door hinges. The cable drums on each end, right here, and over here, they are marked right hand and left hand. If you look on them, they have a R for right hand, and over here they'll have an L for left hand. And basically, that's telling you how to install this.
What it is, is the right hand side should be on the curb side of your trailer. The left hands marking should be on the road side or driver's side of your trailer. This is a nice sturdy steel construction. It is made in the USA. Does include everything shown here on the table, and includes the galvanized cable with the quarter inch nylon eyes on each end, the cable brackets, nice set of installation instructions that describe how to install it.Now, to install this to your trailer, it does require mounting hardware. Now that is not included.
And the reason that is because it could be different applications would use different types of hardware, so there's not any particular one to use. So you would have to supply your own mounting hardware. And I do want to give you a warning on the installation of that. It is recommended that only individuals who have experienced winding torsion springs should install this product. Because when you wind these springs, it can get pretty dangerous if you're not familiar with the procedure of doing it. So if you've not worked with a torsion spring system before, we do recommending contacting a local garage door company to help you install this system.Few specs, when this is mounted, the width from one end to the other end, it's going to be 94 inches wide.
The depth on it from the back here where the bracket is a seven and a half inches deep. And the overall height is going to be right at about four and seven eighths inches tall. And again, the spring capacity is 150 pounds. But that should do it for the review on the conventional dual spring ramp door spring for the eight foot wide enclosed trailers.
