Jeff : Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today. We're going to take a look at this Bauer Products gloss black T handle lock for truck caps. Now this is a locking T handle that will replace a broken or damaged handle on your truck cap or your camper shell. It is a counterclockwise rotating handle.
You can see here, it'll mount on the driver's side of your dual lock cap. And when it's installed it as a blind mounted design, basically it installs flush with the mounting hardware to remain hidden inside the lock cap right here. You can see there's where your mounting hardware would go. And then once that's all put on there, it'll cover it up so they can't access the mounting hardware. It is a nice die-cast zinc construction.
It's very durable and built to last. You can see it as a nice gloss black color, and it does come with two keys.Basically right now, it's in the open position. So you just turn it counterclockwise, open it clockwise back to close it. And then if you want to lock it, put your key in, turn it 180 degrees, take your key out and that'll prevent it from being open. To unlock it, go ahead and put your key back in 180 degrees the other way, and it'll open up.
A few dimensions on this, the handle, it's going to be right at 3 1/2" long, the depth of it from the front of the handle to the base where when it's installed is about 2" deep. The length of the shaft right here is right at 2", and then the distance between the mounting holes, the two mounting holes right here center to center, is going to be right at 1 1/2". But again, just to show you right now, it's in the open position. Put your key in there, turn it, now it's in the lock position. But that should do it for the review on the Bauer Products, gloss black T handle lock for truck caps..

Exact match to the latches on my truck shell. Installed in minutes and had the same keys as my old ones.
This is a replacement for the set I bought a year ago that stopped working after 6 months. I bought the metal set hoping for better build quality and unfortunately these are built just as poorly. I bought the clockwise and counterclockwise set and only one came with the mounting hardware and one is extremely difficult to turn. If I didnt need these right away I would have absolutely returned them and still may later on. The shipping was incredibly fast though, granted, I paid nearly $[XX] to have them delivered the next day. I will say etrailer.com had the order proccessed and shipped out within a few hours of me placing the order so that was very nice to see. If my LEER truck bed shell didnt have the specific cutouts for these exact latches then I would have absolutely purchased from another manugacturer but I'm stuck with buying this overpriced junk I guess. One star if not for etrailer.com's fast proccessing.
Fits great and they were easy to instal l.
This was a direct replacement for the center lock on a Century brand topper, Clockwise is the direction to close it as you are facing it. Very simple to change: 2 screws and a keeper. You have to reuse the original screws because this does not come with any. Came with 2 keys. Very happy with product and service.

Fantastic handle! Complete upgrade to the stock handle on my camper. The original handle had some play which allowed the handle to unlatch even when locked. This latch solved the problem, even when traveling off road and it looks great!

I order this T handle with keys because I needed the
key number K 127 to match the at hand locks on my LEER camper shell. The key kitt and works. I’m grateful the eTrailer phone agent was able to figure out I could get the key by ordering the T handle. Recently sold that camper shell and I wanted to give the buyer a key so they could use the T handle locks. The buyer is thrilled!
Everything looks great. I just received my order on 01/21 but haven't got it installed yet.
A replacement for frozen locks on my snowmobile trailer. But I'm surprised/disappointed that the new locks did not come with the covers.
the handles work great! The only thing that surprised me is that they did not come with insert for the inside of the handle assembly and the flipper bar that slides on the square shaft after the assembly has been installed.I just transferred those parts from the old handles but my cap is very secure!!
Direct replacement and showed up fast! Extremely happy to replace them on my Ranch Sierra Truck cap!
