Last winter, cold mornings meant slow cranks and long warm-ups. This block heater keeps coolant warm so your engine starts quick and avoids the wear that cuts engine life. At 1,000 watts/120 volts, it delivers steady heat for reliable starts and faster warm-ups without the long idle.
Universal heaters can be a headache because they often require modification, but this one is made for a range of John Deere industrial and tractor engines. It replaces the threaded plug on the left side of the engine; the optimal location for heat transfer. That means no trial and error or modifying parts to fit, just a straightforward install. If you don't know your engine number you can find it on the metal data plate or sticker located on the side of the engine block, often near the valve cover. The engine serial number (ESN) is 13 or 17 characters long. The first two letters let you know what factory produced it. This is followed by 4 numbers. Those 4 numbers are your engine model number.
