Universal heaters can be a headache because they often require modification, but this one is made for a range of Kubota industrial and tractor engines. It replaces the threaded freeze plug in the back of the head; the optimal location for heat transfer. That means no trial and error or modifying parts to fit, just a straightforward install. If you don't know your engine model you can find it on a sticker located on the valve cover. If the sticker is missing or unreadable, the number is also stamped on the engine block but the location varies by engine series.
