When your truck is working harder under tow, factory brakes can feel slower to respond. This front brake upgrade kit pairs severe-duty brake pads with heat-managing rotors for strong initial bite and predictable braking through repeated stops.
Adding trailer weight changes how your truck responds when you press the brake pedal, especially during sudden stops or repeated braking. These brake pads use a severe-duty, low-metallic friction formula that delivers a strong initial bite, while the matched rotors use OEM-style vanes to help manage the added heat towing creates. Together they give your truck a more immediate, predictable braking response that stays consistent through repeated stops.
Brake vibration often traces back to uneven rotor machining or inconsistent braking surfaces, especially after repeated heat cycles. The rotors use computer-controlled castings with fly-cut, mill-balanced construction and meet or exceed OE specifications for machining tolerances. A non-directional cross-hatch finish promotes even pad bed-in, helping your brake service start with uniform contact and maintain smooth pedal feel as your truck accumulates miles.
Fresh brake components often need a break-in period before they reach their intended performance. These brake pads use positive mold manufacturing to produce consistent density and precise dimensions, then add a bed-in coating that improves initial pedal feel and shortens the break-in process. Multi-layer vulcanized rubber shims help limit the extra noise commonly associated with high-bite low-metallic pads, so your truck delivers responsive braking without unnecessary chatter.
Road spray, moisture, and winter conditions often leave exposed brake components looking rough long before the friction surface wears out. The G3000 premium raw iron rotors use an OnyxBond matte black coating on the hat, vanes, and edges to help reduce rust on exposed non-friction surfaces. Your brake components stay in better condition between services while continuing to provide the smooth braking performance they were designed to deliver.
Replacing brakes is a job many experienced DIYers can handle, but brakes are one of those projects where being almost right is still wrong. If you would rather leave it to a professional, find an installer near you.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Timbren Front-Wheel BES Brake Upgrade Kit. Now, this is designed to fit your 2013 to 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty two-wheel drive. And on custom-fit parts such as this kit, I recommend taking advantage of our Vehicle Fit Guide here at etrailer. Just input the year, make and model of your vehicle and answer any other questions that it might have for you, and our Fit Guide will confirm if this kit will work for you, or if we have something comparable that will work for you. Now, upgrading the suspension on your truck will improve your ride quality, it's gonna help reduce sag, and it's also gonna make your truck feel more stable while you're towing or hauling, but it doesn't reduce the extra workload placed on your factory brakes.
So, if you felt like your truck takes longer to stop when you're towing a heavy trailer or hauling a heavy load, or maybe your brakes are wearing down faster than you expected, or maybe the added weight is making your braking feel less confident, that's where this BES brake upgrade kit is going to come into play. This kit is designed to make your truck feel, when you brake, make it feel stronger, more consistent when it's carrying or towing those heavier loads. These low-metallic OnyxBite Brake Pads are gonna give you a strong initial bite and eliminate brake fade that occurs with frequent stopping when towing, so you're gonna notice more confident, consistent braking performance on every road trip. On the back here, there are these multi-layered rubber shims that are gonna help stabilize the brake pads during braking, ultimately reducing vibration, keeping braking noise to a minimum without sacrificing braking performance. On your screen, I just wanted to show you what that shim looks like close up looking at that multi-layered construction.
The second photo there just shows you what the brake pad looks like with the shim removed to give you a better idea of the construction of the brake pad itself. So, these positive-molded pads paired with these precision-balanced rotors are gonna promote smooth, even braking and more consistent pedal feel. Speaking of these rotors, these are OEM-style vented rotors, so that's gonna help dissipate heat during repeated stops to help reduce brake fade when towing. These are premium G3000 raw iron rotors, and they feature Timbren's OnyxBond matte black coating on the hat, veins and outer edges. As you know, heat is the enemy of brakes, so this OnyxBond coating has a heat threshold up to 932-degrees Fahrenheit, which is about 67% better than the standard GEOMET coating most commonly used on OEM parts.
This coating's also gonna help protect them from rust caused by road spray, moisture, winter driving, keeping your brakes looking cleaner between services without affecting your braking performance. The pads also feature a bed-in coating, indicated by the blue stripes that you see there on the pads. That's gonna transfer to the rotor to protect it during its first stop so you're gonna be able to enjoy consistent braking performance sooner after installation. Installation is gonna be relatively straightforward. Do keep in mind these rotors are kind of on the heavy side, so it'd probably be a good idea just to have some help to get these rotors in place.
But if you would like help with installation overall, on this product page underneath the photo section, we have a link that will take you to our Installer Locator. If you click that link, answer the questions that it has for you, that locator will find an installer in your area that etrailer has partnered with to help you with the install. I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. Again, my name's Andy, thank you for joining me.
