Made it easy to wire my 2015 JK for towing. Installation instructions were simple and straightforward.

These connectors were high quality by a known manufacturer. I could have bought them locally but I wouldn't have gotten the expert advice and detailed information that I was able to get from eTrailer!. I talked to several people and each one was very knowledgeable. When the parts arrived, it surprised me because they came so quickly! I would readily order from them again if I needed more trailer parts. I used these connectors to adapt a Minn-Kota trolling motor to my fishing kayak and have attached some pictures showing it installed.

Easy to order with fast check out. Excellent shipping with all tracking info. Highly recommend this company.

It works well and as designed.

Fast delivery, ordered Thursday received it on Sunday

No problems with this either

I found out about etrailer on an installation video on YouTube and decided to give them a try. They had all the parts I was looking for with good prices. As a plus, their shipping is fast and I got my order in no time. I will definitely use them again for my RV parts needs.

All of the parts I bought are still functioning as they should and I am still happy with my purchase.

All parts needed were in stock and ready to be shipped the same day as ordered. Thanks Nicole T.

great plug well made easy install
and all the folks there are wonderful will recommend and buy from again
I have gotten several things from them already I am rigging up my new jku to be a toad behind my motor home.
everything from tow bar base plate and wiring has been just what they said it to be and very simple to save money and do it your self, I have lots of experience but seriously if you can change your own oil you can do this kind of work also.

What can I say? It does its job. I used a 6-pole connector so that I could wire in a battery charger for our toad. The awesome folks at had to send me a replacement because one of the "ears" cracked during shipping. I'm assuming that it got squashed between some heavy parts as it was only packaged in a plastic bag.

I searched around the web in search of a custom wiring hook up that would work with the existing wiring circuitry that was already in place on my old Dodge pickup. Just replacing the trailer socket was the answer to my problem. It was an easy process to wire in the new plug, at a very reasonable cost. It was also shipped to my home in several days.

Just a simple six pin plug, but it's necessary to hook my TOAD up to the motorhome!

The item is exactly as described and exactly what i needed to make the repair. I love working with these guys as they are helpful, knowledgeable, and delivery is always very fast. They are my 'go to' for RV and auto parts.

It is still working perfectly. Thanks.

Very nice unit. Good instructions. I needed this plug to wire a brake buddy unit into a towed vehicle, and maintain the lighting. Works very well.

Product arrived in a timely manner. It was as described (or even better), with apparent quality of material and construction. I would recommend this product to anyone needing to wire a 6-pin, vehicle-side connector.

Part was exact replacement for the broken trailer electrical socket I needed, at a price lower than I expected. Vendor has a good catalog of just about anything I could need for my trailer and will be using from now on.

Quality part

For the money, it is a good product. It would be even better if it had a rubber seal, but for the price, the quality is very good. etrailer is the best. Lightning fast shipping, and super great communication. I love ordering from

Over a year in heavy use and still working well. The tab at the bottom of the lid broke the other day, but spring is not too tight to allow it to be opened by grasping it around the lid.

etrailer is OUTSTANDING.
I have purchased
several items from etrailer and they have
been extremely efficient and courteous.
I would encourage everyone to order items they need from etrailer.

Replacement for the Hopkins Flex Coil 6 pole plug that was damaged. As advertised and works as it is supposed to.

Simple plastic cover. Does the job. Time will tell how well the plastic holds up in UV light.

The products I ordered showed up on time and we're packaged nicely. They are quality products and I am very pleased with the results. I definitely recommend etrailer for all your trailer needs.

My order was handled expertly and in a timely fashion. Delivery was just a few days after placing my order. Although I have not yet installed the connector it appears to be a well made unit. Instructions were clear for wiring.

Not much to review. It is a 6 wire trailer plug.

  • Using 12-Volt Accessory Feed From Trailer Connector to Maintain Battery on Pop-Up Trailer
Typically, the blue wire on a 6-way connector is used to carry the output voltage from the brake controller. The 12-volt auxiliary feed, which usually feeds the center pin on the trailer connector can be used to maintain a fully charged battery, but will not have enough amperage to charge a dead battery.

  • What Circuits do the 2 Wires on a Trailer Surge Brake Actuator Wire To
Your surge brake setup has an electric lockout solenoid. Either one of the wires on your brake needs to run to the reverse light circuit on your trailer connector and the other wire needs to ground. Doesn't matter which you use as they are not polarity sensitive. On a 6-way the most likely pin to carry the reverse light circuit would be the center pin.

  • When Truck is Put in Reverse the Trailer Brakes Lock Up
Are you certain that you have the 6-way connector, like part # PK12720 with the 6 round pins? Or do you have the 7-way connector like part # PK11893 that features 6 blade-type pins with one connector in the center? The two can sometimes be confused. There are two possible reasons why the brakes are locking up on the trailer. If you have a surge or hydraulic coupler on the trailer, such as those typically found on boat trailers, the hydraulic brakes will lock up when the vehicle reverses...

  • Pollak 6-Pole Trailer Wiring Socket # PK12720 Recommendation for Flat Towing a 2011 Honda Fit
I would recommend you remove the 4-wire flat plug and replace it with a Pollak 6-Pole, Round Pin, Plastic Trailer Wiring Socket, part # PK12720, like you mentioned. This way you would not have to use an adapter which would give you a cleaner install and give you one less component that could potentially fail on you. I attached an FAQ article on tow bar wiring below for you to check out also.

  • Can Hopkins HM56202 be Wired into 6-Way Connector on Front of Towed Vehicle
Absolutely! We actually recommend doing this exact install a lot of the time. Using a 6-way, like part # PK12720 for an example, at the vehicle's front allows you to install additional wiring for a braking system or charge line but doing it this way makes it an easier install because the Hopkins # HM56202 is the easiest to install harness for your 2004 Jeep.

  • Parts Needed to Wire Up 6-Way on 2001 Toyota Tacoma
Normally in a situation like this the best way to accomplish adding a 6-way round to a 2001 Toyota Tacoma is to first use a 4-way kit like part # C55379 to get the correct signals combined and then use an adapter like part # 37175 to convert it to a 6-way. Since you have a 6-way ready to wire up best option would be to use the # C55379 to get the circuits combined like you are needing and then cutting off the 4-way of the kit and wiring the circuits to the 6-way.
