Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a Shackle Strap that measures 2" long. This shackle strap connects a double-eyed spring to a rear hanger on a single-axle trailer or to an equalizer on a multi-axle trailer. The link or the shackle allows the appropriate movement to take place. It's made from a durable steel construction with protective finishing to keep it safe from rust and corrosion. Now, the shackle length is measured from the center of one hole to the center of the other hole, so if we take a measurement of that, that's where we get our 2" measurement from. When it comes to the overall measurements, edge-to-edge going in this direction, we're looking at about 3-1/4" long by 1-1/4" wide by 3/16" thick, and then the bolt hole diameter is 9/16" of an inch. That's going to do it for today's look at the Shackle Strap that measures 2" long..
