If you’re upgrading from standard bulbs, this light makes the jump to LED worth it. The Peterson LumenX LED uses five amber diodes and advanced optics to create a solid panel of light that’s brighter and more even than old-style incandescent options. It runs on 9V–32V DC and draws less power, giving you strong illumination without adding strain to your electrical system. And because LEDs last up to 50 times longer, you can forget about bulb swaps.
No need to stress about rain or launching a trailer into the water. The housing and lens are sealed together into a single waterproof unit that’s completely submersible. That keeps moisture and dirt out, protecting the LEDs and wiring from corrosion or shorting out. Whether it’s wet roads or a full dunk at the ramp, this light keeps working without issue.
Visibility matters for safety, day or night. This 2-15/16" round light is PC rated, meaning when properly mounted it works as both a clearance and side marker light. The LumenX design spreads a smooth, even glow across the entire lens for consistent brightness from multiple angles. It meets DOT FMVSS 108 requirements, so you get reliable performance that’s road legal anywhere.
Installing this light is straightforward thanks to its integrated flange mount and standard two-hole pattern spaced 2-5/8" apart. It accepts an AMP-style sealed plug (PET42PV – sold separately) for a weather-tight connection that clicks right in. At 2-15/16" in diameter and 1-1/2" deep, it’s compact enough to fit tight spots while still standing out bright once powered up.

Hi everyone. Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at our Peterson LumenX LED Clearance and Side Marker Light with Grommet. It's a submersible round amber lens. So folks, this trailer light is gonna function as a clearance or side marker light. Once you have it properly mounted, as you can see, you got 1, 2, 3, 9 holes.
Those are two and 5/8th inches on center. Overall, the whole housing unit is two and 15/16th in diameter with a two inch diameter light, and it's about one and a half inches deep. So it's a nice tall, it's gonna stick out. It is PC-rated, DOT-compliant. So you can see this, you don't have to have it top mounted.
And it does meet that DOT requirements for PC rating. It's sealed, it's waterproof, and as you can see, there's no pigtail included. That's sold separately. You can find that information here on the page and it's gonna accept that AMP style plug and pigtail. Now I have one of those that I pulled, again, sold separately.
It looks something like this with two wires. Has a nice rubber grommet, that's gonna keep all the water out when you have this plugged in. And let's go ahead and power this up. So as you can see, it's a nice, vibrant, bright amber color. And I'll go ahead and shut off the overhead lights as well so you can see a little better.
So it's gonna put out lots of lumens, lots of light, and give you the visibility that you need to be seen. Again, amber lens over amber LEDs. So it's gonna ensure consistent light output and prevent overheating as well. Now with LEDs, again, there's no bulb to replace, no brittle filaments, anything like that. So you're gonna be better overall as far as longevity and those kind of things as well. So folks, that is gonna wrap it up for our quick look together. Again, the pigtail is not included, that's sold separately. That's gonna wrap it up. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
