Hi everyone, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at our Heavy-Duty spring latch with a Holdback for Trailers. Now this is gonna feature four holes for mounting, and a nice half-inch thick zinc plated pin. Folks, this is again a spring loaded latch, and as you can see this spring you would have this bolted in place and then obviously you'd be pulling this latch and thus moving this pin in and out of either a hole or a keeper. However, you have your trailer set up, it is a half inch thick, so it's very robust. The pin even has a little plastic keeper here on the end for your finger.

The whole thing overall is about five and a half inches long by a half-inch thick. Once again, you got four mounting holes in the back. There's no hardware included. You'd have to get that separately if you don't already have some. And what a holdback is gonna do is gonna help keep this open as well.

So, when I turn that and I go down inside of this groove right here, that's the holdback. It is literally holding back the latch here. And then whenever it's time to use it, let somebody pull the spring again, rotate it, and it's gonna spring close, Forcing this into the matching side over here, or hole, whatever you have set up on your particular setup. Everything here is zinc plated, so it's very nice, very secure. This would be great for maybe trucks and trailer bodies and those kind of things.
