4-5/16" Waterproof light displays brake, tail, and turn signals on your trailer. Mounts in a cutout with a grommet (sold separately) and designed with a weathertight connector.
Features:
Specs:
This trailer light has a weathertight plug that's designed to block out moisture. It needs a particular adapter (AL45PWTB - sold separately) to plug into a 3-plug pigtail and connect to your vehicle or trailer. Pick up a right-angle pigtail (A47PB - sold separately) or a straight pigtail (A45PB - sold separately) if you don't have one already.
This light installs in a grommet (A45GB - sold separately) and requires cutting a hole into your trailer if it doesn't already have one.
If you'd rather not cut a hole in your trailer, you can use an optional mounting bracket (BK45BB - sold separately) instead. You will still need the A45GB grommet.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Optronics LED trailer tail light. The round trailer tail lights serves 3 functions, such as your stop light, tail light and turn signal light. It's going to feature a sonically sealed water proof housing and lens unit that is submersible. It's a full LED system, LED's are going to make great replacements for incandescent lights. They're going to last longer, burn brighter, they're much more efficient. You don't have to worry about bulbs and you don't have to worry about burr filaments. When it comes to the construction, we're looking at a polycarbonate lens and housing.
The housing on the unit is going to be a grey color, the lens is going to be a red lens. This is designed to be a recess mount installation, with a mounting grommet. Grommets are sold separately. You can find them here at etrailer.com if you're needing one. The light will fit into a hole with a diameter of 4 and a half inches. Now, here on the back, it's got a really unique plug.
This is known as a weather tight connection point on the back. This does require an adapter part number AL45PWTB to work with the industry standard 3 prong plug. Now that adapter is sold separately and it's available here at etrailer.com as well. The light is department of transportation compliant. When we take a look at the dimensions, starting with the diameter, outer edge to outer edge, we're looking at a measurement of about 4 and 5/16 of an inch.
If we take a look at the thickness including the plug at the back, that's going to give us a measurement of 1 and 13/16 of an inch. Not including the plug, so just this portion up here, that's going to give us a measurement of about 3/4 of an inch. It's going to contain 7 diodes or 7 LEDs. The power draw for the stop and turn signal is 0.234 amps at 12.8 volts. For the tail light is 0.033 amps at 12.8 volts. Optronics is going to put a lifetime warranty on the LEDs.
We're going to go ahead and hook it up to our external power source, that way you can see what it looks like with power into it. Here we have that weather tight plug. Slides in right here and then it's got the locking tab. This is going to be the tail light function of the light. It sends out a nice consistent signal, allows plenty of light to come through. Again, it's going to contain a total of 7 LEDS. When we apply our brakes, you can see how the signal output increases for brighter light. It's also going to do that when we activate our turn signals. That's going to do it for today's look at the Optronics LED trailer tail light.
