Question:

There are many lights in the so called 4inch category. The detailed dimensions vary from 3-7/8inch to 4-1/16. However, it appears that sometimes that is the measurement of the frame and not the light itself. The lights on my trailer are exactly 3-7/8inch and the frame is 4-1/16 These amber side marker lights, the MCL61RB, and the apparently corresponding OPT66FR in red, give a general dimension of 4. Will those fit in the 4-1/16inch frame. In fact, can I assume all of these are common dimensions or do I really need to be more exacting in the measurements?

Yes, The ThinLine LED Clearance or Side Marker Light # MCL61RB will work with The Black Bracket # A65PB.

The side marker light is 4 inches long by 1-1/4 inches tall by 1 inch thick. The light has a snap-in surface mount with the bracket # A65PB.

The Single Wire Plug for Thin Line Series Trailer Clearance and Side Marker Lights # A65P will help with the grounding which is through the mounting hardware.

The Amber version light # OPT66FR will work with the same bracket and single wire plug mentioned above.
