This 3/4" round GloLight Uni-Lite puts out a clean, even amber glow through its solid GloLight lens, giving it a distinctive look while keeping power use low. With six LEDs drawing only 0.047 amps at 12.8 volts, it’s an energy-efficient replacement for old incandescent lights that burn out quickly. The LEDs last up to 50 times longer, and because there are no filaments or bulbs to replace, you can install it once and forget about maintenance.
Built for the elements, the GloLight Uni-Lite is waterproof and fully submersible. The sealed housing protects the circuit board and diodes from moisture and corrosion, making it ideal for trailers that are routinely exposed to rain or even dipped into the water. Whether your trailer sees wet roads or launch ramps, this light stays sealed and shining.
Visibility matters most when other drivers need to see you. This PC-rated light throws a 90-degree beam to either side for a total of 180 degrees of coverage. When installed properly, it pulls double duty as both a clearance light and a side marker light, so your trailer is visible from the front, side, and rear. That wide beam spread adds a real layer of safety at night and in low light.
Tight mounting spaces are no problem. This light’s small 3/4" diameter and 7/8" depth let it sit neatly into a recessed mount using grommet A11GB (sold separately). It only needs a 3/4" hole at the mounting point, and the simple 2-wire pigtail—one power lead and one ground—keeps wiring straightforward. The durable polycarbonate housing and acrylic lens hold up well to road vibration and use.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Optronics Unilight LED clearance and side marker light. This is a small round trailer light that can function as both a clearance and side marker light when properly mounted. It's going to feature a sealed waterproof housing, so it's got a submersible design to it. Water is not going to damage the light or cause any type of harm. This is an LED system. LEDs are going to make great replacements for the incandescent lights. LEDs are going to last longer, they burn brighter.
They're much more efficient. You don't have to worry about replacing bulbs and you don't have to worry about brittle filaments. As you can see it's got the amber lens. That's going to be made from a polycarbonate construction when it comes to the lens and the housing. It is designed to be a recessed-mount installation with a mounting grommet. Your grommet is sold separately.
If you're in need of one, you can find them right here at etrailer.com. Your installation surface is going to require a 3/4 inch diameter hole at the desired mounting location. It's a two wire design. You can see that we got a nice wire casing to protect the wires. We have a white wire, which is ground and then a black wire which is our power. This is Department of Transportation compliant.
It's a PC rated light. We're going to take a look at the diameter real quick. Edge to edge right here at the face, 3/4s of an inch. The overall depth, or length front to back is going to 7/8ths of an inch. We're going to go ahead and hook it up to our external power source, that way you can see what it looks like with power running to it. We'll also be able to turn off our overhead lights, so you can see it in a low light setting.
You can see here that the light sends out a nice consistent signal, pretty bright light. It's going to contain two diodes. Two LEDs, so the multi-diode design's going to help to optimize our light output. Optronics is going to put a lifetime warranty on the LEDs. That's going to do it for today's look at the Optronics Unilight LED clearance and side marker light.

These GloLight LED lights seem to be very well made...really bright, super easy to install...pop em in, plug em in...and go Baby!
I like small marker lights. Easily seen without being overwhelmingly bright which can cause glare. I've had great experience with the quality of Optronics; with less expensive brands not so much.
Don't let the small size fool you, these little lights are pretty bright. You need to be spot on with the diameter of hole you drill that these lights recess into.

The barrels on the red lights were too long. We had to cut a portion of the ends to make them fit. Other than that, they worked
I installed GloLight Mini LED clearance lights on a flatbed I fabricated for an older GMC K3500, truck. The lights continue to function as they should. I am happy with my purchase.
What I like about these are that the wires are nice and heavy gauge. It feels very well made and I'm confident it will withstand the abuse of my Baja. I use these as marker lights and turn signals. They are really bright and no issues seeing them during the day.
I selected these lights because of the way the light appears to glow from the entire pod rather than the individual lights of the LED chips in the other pods. They produce a nice glow pattern that is more pleasing to the eye rather than seeing the small light of the individual LED chips. I like the fact that they are sealed units and thereby resistant to the elements. I previously bought dual-chip light pods and had one chip in a couple of pods burn out, so I am trying these pods instead.
I would give this product a 5-star rating but unfortunately, I have had a number of these lights burn out and they are in difficult-to-access locations which makes them a hassle replacing them when they burn out. Even though they are lifetime-guaranteed by Optronics that doesn't do anything for the annoyance factor when you see one burned out and replace it, only to have another one burn out shortly thereafter. I originally bought these lights because they guarantted for life AND were very bright, even in daytime. It seems that the older version of these lights were more dependable than what they are producing now. My suggestion is that you don't hardwire them into an application-install them using individual plugs so WHEN IT BECOMES NECESSARY to replace them you will not have to keep cutting and splicing your harness each time. Other than that, they are good lights.
