As advertised. fits exactly to my 2014 Santa Fe Limited (ignoring the spray on rust proofing in the tapped holes in the frame rails which isn't Curt's or e-trailers fault). Still have to install the wiring harness which is a job for tomorrow, but since my car has the factory trailer wiring hook up, all I need to do is pull some covers, plug in the wiring harness and route it to the hitch behind the bumper cover.

Works great. No issues with the hitch.

Very easy installation. Installed on 2018 Sante FE Limited Ultimate FWD to pull 1200 lb trailer. Allows hitch cover to be reinstalled and completely hide hitch when not in use.

I am so happy with my purchase and will definitely recommend etrailer. I was going to have a hitch dealer put one on my 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe, they wanted over $500.
I. I saved money.
2. it arrived within a few days.
3. It only took an hour to put on.
I bought the hitch cover with a light to check the wiring, since the lights on my trailer are not working.

Very well made easy install and gives the most ground clearance by it's design no problems what so ever, can not say enough good about Curt all items I have bought have been great love to test and try new items from them .. so far I have been nothing but pleased

2013 Hyundai Santa Fe

Firstly etrailer.com rocked with delivery and the trailer hitch showed up in 3 days with free shipping. The directions provided were flawless, down to the bending of the bumper pin and installation took me about 15 minutes. The torque wrench tightening took as long, but the hitch is in place, looks great and as if part of OEM. The hitch feels SOLID. The fascia could fit back on, but the hitch will be in use shortly. Added a hitch to our new car (the dealer wanted $600 installed) for mostly use with bike racks.

All in all an outstanding experience.

I had been searching for a few years for the right hitch receiver at an affordable price when I stumbled upon the etrailer.com website. The site was easy to use and search for what I wanted and needed. After a couple of months of contemplating in purchasing this product from the sight, I did my due diligence and searched other sites for the correct product fit that met my needs and cost. The other sites couldn't match the price and product availability. In addition, the DIY videos on the etrailer.com site gave me the confidence to complete the install. From installing the hitch receiver to the connection of the 4-pole wiring kit(hint: if you're vehicle has the prewiring for towing, they have the custom kits to match). The install in total took me about 45 minutes (it helps to have the right tools as well) from prep to finish. Now that I have the capability to tow, I'm going to be able to save on the cost of rentals and now I am even looking at getting a family camping trailer, since our Santa Fe model can tow a good size one. The attached pictures show the completed install. Thanks for everything etrailer.com! You definitely found a new customer and I will be highly recommending this site to my circle of family and friends.

The trailer hitch and all its components I just purchased for my 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe XL V6 came just as expected for delivery. The installation guide was easy to follow and I was able to get it installed without any problem. The wire harness was plug n play besides running the power wire to the battery which was not very difficult. Thank you for this amazing product, it’ll be used for years to come.!

Purchased this hitch for my 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe. Price was excellent on etrailer.com. Installation took me over an hour. It was the first time I installed a hitch and used a torque wrench. Getting the bolts to the specified torque is what took me the longest due to inexperience and working without a lift. Save money on the installation and do it yourself you will be happy with the end result.

Etrailer is the only place that offered the hitch and information that I needed. The install was as easy as they said it would be and the hitch fit perfect. I will forever only use etrailer to get accessories for my car. Wish y'all delt with car parts I'd use y'all exclusively for those too. Awesome company guys!!!! Thank you for the simple breath of fresh air in a complex world! I'd love to submit more photos but it won't let me and I can't edit my salection the one on this is not the best

2014 Hyundai Santa Fe

This product fits like a glove! I installed it with no issues on my 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe. Just make sure you have a second pair of hands to align the hitch as it is too heavy for one person while attempting to insert the bolts into the holes. I also love the fact that the hitch can be concealed with the factory rear bumper cover. See pics attached.

Thank you etrailer for a great product and saving me money!

by:

Very impressed. Fast delivery and easy installation. I purchased the trailer hitch, wiring harness and the two brackets to mount the plug on the hitch and everything fit perfectly. I watched a video or two before starting and all went smoothly.
I'll be back for the mount and ball once I decide what type of camper I am going to purchase. Thanks etrailer!!

My wife and I just finished installing the Curt trailer hitch on my 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe. It's great to have a partner that likes to get involved in fun projects like this. I also used the Curt wiring harrnes that was specified for my car. WOW it was so easy just like all the reviews testified. We are both very pleasd with the product and most of all the CUSTOMER SERVICE. I was a former Wood shop instructor at our local high school. For 37 years I emphasized attitude, respect, responsibilty and customer service. Every staff member that I talked to was polite, respectful and knowledeable. What a refreshing experince. I have allready told many of my friends about my experience and fell good about directing them to etrailer. I will be buying my wife a 2017 Hyundai Tuson. We will defintly purchase the hitch and all the trailer accessories from etrailer. I will give my wife a hand installing her hitch. Thank you Tori @ etrailer.com! Not sure that I can say any more than everyone else has. Ordering was a snap, shipping was lightning fast, and installation was a breeze. I installed it on my 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited in 22 minutes by myself. The videos were 100% correct and very helpful. On a scale of 1-10, this whole process was easily a 10.

by:

Fast shipping , exact item that was pictured on the website . Thick packaging and hitch was protected and well secured in the box (unlike the hitches I’ve ordered past from other stores). Chose Etrailer over other stores because they sent me the wrong one even though the item said it fit my vehicle . Also email communication from Etrailer was unlike any company I’ve ordered from before and showed me they care about customer satisfaction. Thanks

Great product! Very easy to install. I never have enough room for stuff on long trips so I bought ithe hitch and a flat cargo carrier as well. It took 90 minutes to have them both ready to go! If it won"t fit now, we have too much stuff!

Well constructed, trusted brand. Etrailer has excellent customer service to match. Very happy with my purchase. We have been pulling our skyline bobcat trailer with this, curt sway control and weight distribution hitch. We also purchased and professionally installed the curt brake controller and 7-pin harness. Towing was a breeze when equipped properly.

2017 Hyundai Santa Fe

I recently bought the Curt receiver (p/n C13153) and Tekonsha 4-pin harness (p/n 118269) for use on our new 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited Ultimate. We use the hitch to tow a small utility trailer occasionally, and more often use it with a hitch-mounted bike rack. I also ordered a mounting bracket kit and companion adapter plate since I had hoped to have the 4-pin connector mounted to the hitch (v. just zip-tied, etc). For installation of the receiver I dropped the spare tire since it is easy and helps for maneuvering the receiver into place. I did not lower the exhaust. I cleaned the tapped holes in the frame with a spray lube and wire brush prior to mounting, and I think this is a necessary step since a couple of the holes were pretty gunked-up. I checked by running the M10 screws in prior to putting the hitch in place, which I also recommend. I did not have a 2nd person available to help put the receiver in place to install but I had success using a floor jack and a piece of 2x6 to lift the receiver into place and start all the screws. It took a little patience to maneuver past the exhaust but really the fitment of the hitch is very good and it wasn't a bad struggle. A helper is probably the best way to go. As others have said, the videos provided by etrailer.com are really helpful. I finished the hitch installation by torqueing the screws and installing and torqueing the carriage bolts. It is a bit of a job (at least for me) to get the proper torque for the carriage bolts when laying on my back like that, but the overall connection seems super-secure. The spare tire did not interfere with the receiver after installation, though as you'd expect the clearance is small. After the receiver was done I installed the wiring harness. Once again, the video was really helpful and everything went quite smoothly. I found I needed to supply a few of my own zip-ties to secure the wiring to both the hitch and the factory wiring bundle since the provided ones were too short. After this I attempted to mount the 4-pin mounting plate to the hitch but I could not find an orientation that I was happy with and which would not interfere with the removable trim cover for the hitch. On the other hand, I found I was satisfied with leaving the 4-pin connector hooked to the check-chain hole in the receiver, so that is how I will leave it. After finishing the installation I hooked up our trailer. I found that there is a good amount of space in the check-chain openings, at least for our trailer, and the wiring connection (trailer lights) worked perfectly. When I went to install our bike rack I was a little concerned about the space around the hitch hole for the head of the bolt, but when I installed the hitch and anti-rattle bolt the fit was fine. Overall I'm quite happy with the hitch and wiring harness and I'm looking forward to many years of use. As always, etrailer.com was great to deal with and I would always recommend them to anyone looking for towing equipment and accessories.

Looks and works great! The instructions were clear and even pointed out some possible sticking points and what to do about it. I love that the trim piece can be reinstalled and you would never know the receiver was ever installed.

  • Weight Distribution Recommendation for 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Towing Trailer w 545 lb Tongue Weight
For your 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe with a hitch rated for weight distribution like the Curt part # C13153 or # C13152 that it sounds like you have based on the capacities you listed, and for your trailer that has an unloaded tongue weight of 545 lbs the Strait Line System part # RP66083 would be a perfect solution. It has a tongue weight range of 400 to 800 lbs which would work well plus it has the only sway control on the market designed to fight sway before it starts. For a 2 inch ball you...
