Have been using the hitch with my motorcycle rack that I also purchased from etrailer for about a year now. No issues with anything. Love it.

by:
2009 Ford Flex

The trailer bolted up perfect. And Jesse was very helpful.

by:

It seems to hold, looks nice, took us all morning to get on the vehicle due to not having super clear instructions which was a little frustrating but we managed to figure it out.3 starts due to not having good clear instructions.

I recommend taking a look at the video install that we have on a 2012 Ford Flex. Please see the link below:

by:

Bolted right up with no modifications that is always a plus. Hitch has a good finish seam to be rust free after a year also a plus.

by:

Hitch fit perfectly. The bolt kit fit fine. The pieces of wire with coils on one end worked very well (they aided in fishing the bolts up into the frame channel).
My next hitch needs will be from etrailer!

by:
2014 Ford Flex

Once you sent me the instructions for the proper hitch. It took me 30 minutes to install with only lifting the Ford Flex about 14 inches on one side.
Thank you I love you product but appreciate your phone help so much more than anything. Especially considering the instructions in the box for my hitch were for a different model number

by:

At this point I have not towed my boat however, I can tell you that the installation was a breeze! The written and video directions were right on the money. Simple to follow and easy to do! The fish wire is genius!

Great work CURT!

by:

Installed easy. Took me about thirty minutes. I got the drill bit I needed from hardware store although it was not of good quality.

by:
2011 Ford Flex

Great price!! Extra mounting bolts would be nice. Instructions require reusing frame bolts that have already been torqued at factory settings and shouldn't be reused as they have been weakened/stretched once. So all new fasteners would be a plus.

by:

This trailer hitch performed like it should. The staff was very helpful.

by:
2009 Ford Flex

Installation went relatively smooth. It might be worth mentioning that an 1-1/4 drill bit is needed for the installation.

by:
2009 Ford Flex

Hitch was shipped quickly and came with all the hardware needed. Found out you don't actually need to drill new access holes for bolts. There are existing holes in ford flex frame that are a little farther back that work.

by:

It definitely works but it sits really low and hits the road on occasion in certain circumstances.
5 star on ease of installation though

by:
2010 Ford Flex

Fantastic service and great product, thank you!

by:

Very fast service, quick delivery, very friendly.
Hitch was very easy to install, sit lower than I expected.

by:

The only place to purchase hitch for meThis was my fifth hitch order over the years from etrailer and I would not purchase one anywhere else. Nobody beat their price and ease of use on the website make it effortless.
I look forward to doing business wit etrailer for years to come.
Thanks etrailer.

Bolted up very simply, thank you.

  • Would 24x60 Pro Series Cargo Carrier Work with 2010 Ford Flex
Yes, first you will need a trailer hitch with a 2 inch hitch receiver, like Curt Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13110 for the Ford Flex with dual exhaust, or Curt Class III Trailer Hitch # 13551 for the Ford Flex without a dual exhaust. Then you can use a cargo carrier like the 24x60 Pro Series Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches, # 63153, which you referenced. I have included a couple installation videos of these hitches and the cargo carrier for you to check out.

  • Weight Distribution System Recommendation for 2015 Ford Flex
As long as you have a trailer hitch installed on your 2015 Ford Flex that is rated for use with WD systems you would want to go with the # RP66082. This system has a tongue weight range of 200 to 600 lbs and features the only sway control on the market designed to fight sway before it starts. For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286. Our current hitches, # 13551 and # e95KR are not rated for weight distribution.

  • Parts Needed to Add a Towing Package to a 2016 Ford Flex
According to my research you can tow up to 4,500 lbs with your 2016 Ford Flex if you have the Class III Trailer Towing Package (which looks like it includes a 4/7 Way wiring harness, hitch receiver, trailer sway controller, and an engine oil cooler). If you don't have the Class III trailer towing package then you are limited to 2,000 lbs. We have compatible parts to "give" you the Class III trailer towing package but you will need to double check with Ford to make sure that it will still...

  • Which Curt Hitch 2016 Ford Flex with Dual Exhaust
I wish there was, but if you look at the difference between the part # 13551 that you have and the Curt hitch that does fit the dual exhaust models part # C13110 you can see there's a pretty huge difference (see attached pictures). I wish I had a great solution for your scenario but the only way you'll be able to install a hitch on your 2016 Ford Flex with dual exhaust is going to be with the Curt hitch # C13110.

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2012 Ford Flex SEL without Ecoboost
For a 2012 Ford Flex without Ecoboost the correct Curt hitch is # 1355 or the etrailer hitch # e95KR. These hitches are very similar and either would be a great choice. The most popular choice is the Curt # 13551. I would recommend going with the one that costs the least. Curt hitch # C13110 that you referenced is designed to fit the following models: 2009 - 2018 Ford Flex with Dual Exhaust 2010 - 2017 Lincoln MKT with EcoBoost If you plan on doing some towing, I recommend the etrailer...

  • Availability of High Capacity Hitch for 2013 Flex hitch
According to my research, the maximum towing capacity of the 2013 Ford Flex is 4500 lbs. The maximum capacity trailer hitch any of our vendors offer for the 2013 Flex with the dual exhaust is 4000 lbs, as you mentioned. The # 13551 hitch you mentioned is unfortunately only a fit for single exhaust Flex models, as the muffler on the passenger side would interfere with the hitch installation. The 4,300lb trailer weight you mentioned is likely a dry weight, which would not include any gear,...

  • Recommendation on a Hitch, Wiring Harness, Transmission and Oil Cooler for a 2011 Ford Flex
I have a hitch that will work on your 2011 Ford Flex with single exhaust. The Draw-Tite Max Frame Class III Hitch, # 75679, is a custom-fit trailer hitch that is designed for the 2011 Ford Flex. The hitch has a 400 lbs tongue weight capacity and a 4000 lbs gross trailer weight capacity. I recommend this hitch over the Curt hitch, # 13551, because the Draw-Tite hitch has an easier installation than the Curt hitch on the 2011 Ford Flex. The Draw-Tite hitch uses a no drill installation that...

  • Hitch Recommendation for a 2015 Ford Flex
We have hitches available that are confirmed to fit your 2015 Ford Flex. If you have dual exhaust you would want the Curt Hitch part # C13110, if you have single exhaust you would want the part # 13551 instead. I attached install videos for both hitches for you to check out. For ball mounts I recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip, and a carrying bag.

You can install the Curt trailer hitch # 13551 on a 2009 Ford Flex with dual exhaust. It actually fits all models of the Flex. The instructions which I have linked for you reference the muffler hangers on both sides. You can use our videos as a guide and you will just need to apply the parts regarding the exhaust to both sides of the vehicle. • Hitch and Recommended Towing Accessories for 2014 Ford Flex
For the 2014 Ford Flex with dual exhaust, I'd recommend the US made Curt Class III hitch, part # C13110. If you'll be towing with the hitch as opposed to just using it for a hitch mounted accessory, you'll need a few other items to complete your towing system. For a trailer wiring harness, use # 118472 or # 74682 if your Flex is equipped with the tow package. For a ball mount, I'd go with # 2753 which includes the hitch pin. For a trailer ball, use # 19260 for a 1-7/8 inch ball or # 63845...

You will need the Curt T-Connector Wiring Harness to allow you to hook up to your camper. The wiring that I recommend for your 2011 Ford Flex is # C55774. This gives you the option of using either a 4-pole connector or a 7-Pole connector. You also need a ball mount like # C74WR for an 8000-lb capacity or the # WSFH2-2 for a 10,000-lb capacity...
