Question:
I have a 2010 Ford Flex with the Ecoboost Engine. Im not sure if the exhaust system or other parts beneath the rear require a different kind of hitch. Ford only offers a Class I hitch as an aftermarket accessory. I need something with Class III towing capability. Which hitch to you recommend? Id like it to be hidden behind the bumper and only have the hitch exposed in the cutout below the license plate, if possible. Also, Id need it quickly and it should be easy to install. Thanks

We offer the Curt Class III receiver, part # C13110 for the 2010 Ford Flex equipped with the Ecoboost engine.
This hitch is pretty easy for somebody with average mechanical ability and access to a torque wrench to install within 40 minutes to an hour.
The Curt Class III hitch you were looking at will not work with the Ecoboost equipped Flex.
For your review, I have linked the installation instructions and an install video that you might find helpful. By looking at the install video, you will see what the hitch will look like once it is in place.
