Changing your hitch ball size is as easy as pushing out the integrated pin.
No need to get out the heavy wrenches. Convert-A-Ball's interchangeable balls are equipped with integrated pins, making it easy to change out your hitch ball for one of another size.
To switch balls, simply push in the integrated pin (using a pen or your finger) to release and remove installed ball. Then just replace with different-size ball, reversing the process.
This Convert-A-Ball interchangeable ball set exceeds THMA V-5 ratings in all categories and meets SAE standard J-684.

Convert-A-Ball used to be top of the line, now they are stuck in the past.The big three have trucks that can conventional tow 20,000 lbs. or more, so the 10,000 lbs. rated Convert-A-Ball is just weak. I called them and asked if they would upgrade their product to match the new vehicles and they said no.I guess they are content to not change with the times and continue to beat a dead horse. I will not be buying their products in the future as I need a higher tow rating. Might copy their design and have my buddy with a machine shop make a good one.

I have several trailers utility, small boat and larger boat, that require different balls(that sounds funny but I'm amused). This product saves space and time in the truck only having to install the needed size ball onto the hitch. Converting from one size to another couldn't be easier, push the pin, pull the ball, put on the correct ball push the pin. Each ball has its own pin so there's never searching for a lost pin. It is taking you longer to read this review than it will to change ball size.

As a professional walleye angler I have been towing boats for over 30 years and this is one of my go to products having multiple trailer sizes. Wonderful, the big bonus here is the 10,000 GTW. Ive made all my couplers 2 so havent had to swap balls lately but always have them on hand if needed.

Very ingenious idea. Saves the hassle of having to switch receivers every time I change the type of trailer I'm towing. Also bought the carry case and hitch cover - very pleased with the purchase and would recommend to a friend!

Trailer ball was just what I ordered, it was delivered on time and works perfectly. We use several different trailers with different ball sizes, so this is very easy and convenient to change. These are great. I have a set in the truck and SUV for general trailer pulling. With one shank and an adjustable hitch, I can adjust for any height or drop (+/- 10") and any size ball for under 100 bucks!!!!. Can't be beat. I do prefer the solid shank balls for anything really heavy (over 10,000) as I do trust them a bit more.

Product as described, as pictured, and all the specs were correct. I needed an adjustable hitch for different trailers (height) with a drop/rise of 8" and had a 2" ball and needed a 1 7/8's, so I decided to install this to have a hitch that can adjust to any height within a 16" range, and always have the right size ball. Would buy again.

I had a pin type trailer ball combination like this years ago. It gave me great services. But, when I sold that car, I forgot to take the trailer ball. Since then I have tried many types of trailer ball combinations. None were as good as the pin type. They repeatedly got stuck with road grime and required penetrating oil and hammer to get them free.
The only maintenance you will need on this pin type ball is a little light grease on the pin about once a year. When ordering pay attention to the mounting bolt width. My type II hitch needs a 1 inch bolt.
I am looking forward to years of service from this product. This is the only type of trailer ball combo I will buy.

Very easy to use and very convenient. I've several trailers and they all take different size ball. However after leaving the it on the truck for 3 months, I went to change the ball size. The pin came out very easily but the ball was rusted to the shaft,. I ended up taking a torch to the ball and two pipe wrenches to get it off. I should have spent the extra money and got stainless. The nickel finish is worthless.

Great Product. Fit is nice and tight so no rattling from the ball. The nickel finish looks good, but does wear off the ball pretty quickly. I've combined my Convert-A-Ball with an adjustable draw bar so I can pull any trailer in a pinch. Well worth the money if you need to pull different trailers.

The interchangeable ball set is great! They're all extremely solid and should be able to handle anything and everything I throw at them.
I wouldn't advise letting any of the balls stay on the pin when you're not towing - even though the pins are tight to begin with, I've seen some come loose over time, and without a trailer to keep the ball down on the pin, I'm sure they could vibrate off.
