How are the hitch balls secured in the common hitch ball post?

Expert Reply:
The Convert-A-Ball Interchangeable Set , # 900b, hitch balls attach to the included post and shank by the locking pins. The correct size ball is put on the post and the holes are lined up. Then the locking pin is pushed in place thru the holes and locks. To remove the ball you would press the dimple on the end of the locking pin, which releases the pin and it can be pushed out.
The hitch balls only attach to the included post and shank, they will not work on a different ball post.
I also carry a Shank Cover for Convert-A-Ball Interchangeable Hitch Balls, # 005B, and a Storage Case, # 004b.
