Question:
Due to this front hitch being recessed behind the front of the vehicle I have not found any adjustable ball mounts that will clear the license plate and give enough clearance for the trailer coupler to set without hitting the license plate/bumper area. Do you have any recommendations? The license plate is angled so the bottom is 7.5 inches and top is 9.5 inches. License plate is about 6 inches tall

I do have an option for you as there are no adjustable ball mounts with that long of a shank. You can use the Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank # EQ90-02-4600 with the Curt Front Trailer Hitch Receiver # C31069 on your 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The shank is 14" long from the center of the hitch pin bolt to the vertical mounting holes. Those vertical mounting holes will allow you to use the Ball Mount Adapter # BA-1 which is held place with the Pins and Clips # CABPN-2. If you are using multiple trailers with different couplers the Convert-A-Ball Interchangeable Ball Set # 900b allows you to easily switch from 1-7/8" to 2" or 2-5/16".
