Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Patriot Hitches five-way three ball mount with stacked receivers. Now, this drop hitch with stacked receivers has been designed by a US military veteran to slide into your two and a half inch trailer hitch receiver to give you ultimate flexibility and adjustability. You are going to receive five two-inch receivers that are going to let you mount your ball mount, you tow bar, your bike rack, your cargo carrier, and a whole lot more at various heights. Now, this does have a gross towing weight of 25,000 pounds and a maximum tongue weight of 2,000 pounds. This is going to give you a maximum drop or rise of about 10 inches.

So, these stacked receivers are gonna give you a rise or a drop to match the height of your particular application and you use this with the included ball mount and pintle lock or you could use this with your own accessories that you have. This is even gonna let you tow bar for flat towing. Simply move the accessory up or down in what's called the cartridge here and secure it at the chosen height with the included pins and clips. Now, to get that, this cartridge that I mentioned also will adjust on this shank. So, not only do you have the height adjustability with your accessories but the cartridge itself can be mounted at the different receivers here in the back on this shank to give you further adjustability.

So, you just find that perfect spot that you're looking for in regards to height and then, if you need to move the cartridge, the shank rather, lower into the cartridge, you'll just secure it with a pin and clip as I have it secured at the topmost part of that cartridge and when you're not towing, you can remove the accessories, take this cartridge off the shank, flip it horizontally, put it back on and you could use that as a hitch step. You would just secure it again with the pin and clip. So, as you're gonna see with this particular unit, you do have a lot of functionality with this. So, the three ball mount here is obviously gonna let you hook up to your trailer, to your tow vehicle. You've got the one and seven-eighths inch, the two inch and the two and five-sixteenths inch sizes and then, I mentioned the pintle lock.

That's going to allow you to hook up a lunette ring to the ball and then that pintle lock will lock that lunette ring around the ball and then, if you decide that you don't want to tow with the lunette ring and you just wanna use this as the standard ball for a standard coupler or you wanna remove the ring, you just remove the pin and clip here and then, the pintle lock will actually retract back into the cartridge and then you can secure it into that hole there in the retracted position or you could just take the pintle lock out altogether. So, whichever's gonna work best for you. This will fit lunette ring couplers with a diameter of two and a half inches or three inches and then, this included three-quarter of an inch D-ring is gonna allow for multiple offroading and recovery uses. If you notice, our D-ring and our pins and clips are all color matched to the unit itself. It all has that same durable texture, the black powder coat finish.

This is my favorite color selection from Patriot Hitches. They do also offer, for instance, red and blue if you wanted that pop of color. But I do think that the finish and the paint that are on these pins and clips and on the D-ring, since it's the same finish as what's on the unit itself, I think that's gonna be more durable for you and hold up better for you, just to make you aware of that. But you are gonna get four pins and clips. Again, the D-ring's gonna be all color matching to the unit. You're not gonna have to worry about rattling or vibrating, vibrations or anything like that 'cause we have these three stainless steel bolts. They're gonna help keep your accessories from moving and vibrating in the receivers and then you'll just tighten it down with a hex wrench that's included with this and it's gonna be very easy to get that, to get everything tightened up. So, again, this is gonna be very sturdy for you. This is a solid steel construction. Again, covered in that finish that I just got done talking to you about. It's gonna slide into that two and a half inch trailer hitch receiver. But I think that's gonna wrap up our quick look today. I do hope that our time together was helpful for you.
