Today, we are going to review Part Number ML-770. This is the Master Lock Hidden Shackle Padlock Hasp. This part is made of a high-hardened solid steel, which will help prevent theft. When it is put together using the Master Lock Hinged Shackle Padlock, Part Number 970DPF, which is sold separately, it will make it pretty hard to attempt to pry or cut on to the lock. It is designed for use on an enclosed trailers, vans, trucks. It can be used on gates and vending machines and I'll just give you the measurements on this.
The width is 9 inches, the height is 4-1/2 inches. As I did mention, it is designed to be used with the Master Lock Hinged Shackle Padlock, which is this right here. I have an example and basically, how this works, this is a pretty solid piece of hardened steel. If you just turn the key and pull out the pin, you can see that would insert the lock in. Basically, what you would do there is if you look at this hasp, where these two go together.
You'll just slide this lock down over that, put the pin in, turn the key, lock it into the position and as you can see, it's sort of a hidden lock. I'll show you the back of it and you have no access to actually try to pry it off. The only access would be for the key or right here. So basically, if we put the key all the way in, turn it, remove the pin, the lock would slide right off. That should do it for a review on Part Number ML-770..

I purchased this for installation on the side door of my cargo trailer. It is a secure lock but be aware unless your door is completely flush it will not align. Luckily, I have a friend with a machine shop who made me some solid shims so I could use hasp. I sent an email to Master Lock and they contacted me and have discussed the shims with their engineers. Of course you could use a stack of washers but it would not provide the security of a solid shim.
Product is the strongest lock I have seen yet operating in the Canadian landscape. Wanted to get one and only available retail from etrailer.com for affordable price. They got it to me a few days early so I can leave back to Toronto. Along with the matching lock it should keep attempted break-ins to a minimum with my topper. Very cheerful people to deal with and will check out their website first for my needs before going to others.
Very good just installed today!! Customer service was very good in responding to my e-mail and questions I had. If I ever need any more locks or trailer parts I will be returing to Etrailer.com.
All products I got from etraler are good with the exeption of online ordering service.
Be nice to post online when ordering if product is out of stack or so,in my 2 recent orders is been a delay because of that so if you fix that problem will help everybody.
